Welcome to 18 Lake. Situated in beautiful, quiet, Port Kent, NY., this is the perfect place to relax and to get away. People come from all across the country to tour the area on bicycles in summer, and from all over the world during the winter for Lake Placid's winter sports. In fall, the colors are incredible. You will find golf about 1/2 mile away, and other attractions such as Ausable Chasm, High Falls Gorge, orchards, boating, hiking, and more close by!
“Breathtaking views of Lake Champlain from the entire home. We enjoyed a long weekend here, the location was exactly what we needed to escape the stress of the work week. The house has everything you need for a getaway, there are many hiking and biking trails nearby to enjoy. Marco & Nicole were very responsive and gracious hosts. We very much look forward to coming back soon!”
Step under a pair of moose antlers and enter a serene world without cellphone reception. Swing in a hanging log chair and have a BBQ on a screened-in porch with views of a pond. Borrow a canoe and go paddling on nearby lakes and rivers. At Camp Arden, we follow Airbnb’s and the CDC's recommended enhanced cleaning protocols.
“This place was absolutely spectacular! It not only was the perfect last minute getaway (thanks to a cancellation) to celebrate my husband’s birthday, but truly just what we needed to escape the city and the craziness that has been going on. It was extremely well kept and they even provided homemade hand sanitizer and cleaning wipes to use. I hope this place stays a hidden gem. Two things to note: There is no AC but they provide you with a small fan They do have a large black dog that roams the property once in awhile and wills are the bejesus out of you if you didn’t know they had one. My husband thought it was a wolf, lol. It was super calm and quiet.. just scary to see in a secluded wooded area. Overall it was SUCH a dream to go off grid and have zero cell service. They do provide WiFi, but it didn’t quit reach our cabin. Was okay with us as we were looking to detach from the outside world. Thanks again to Christina and Jasen for a wonderful experience!”
Our 30' yurt sits at the top of a 25 acre pasture grazed by sheep, lambs and laying hens with phenomenal views of Whiteface and the Adirondack mountains. Plenty of space for 2-6 people on an adventure into the mountains available from September - early June. Firewood (only heat source) for purchase at the farm, bring sleeping bags for cold weather. Our yurt is not a fully conditioned space, it's a somewhat insulated tent. Plan accordingly, read the reviews, ask questions.
“The yurt is an amazing place and we loved our stay there. My friend and I needed an escape and Blue Pepper Farms offered us just that. The location is perfect, the views are beautiful, the company of the sheep dog is unbeatable and I highly recommend this place to anyone considering it for a peaceful and pretty stay in the heart of the Adirondacks. Go for it, you won’t regret it.”
