The food is delicious and the prices are very reasonable, making it a rare local experience. In addition, if you turn right outside the building, in less than a minute, you will find a street with restaurants serving food from old townhouses [Kagariya Koji Kaikan]. You can also taste famous Kansai specialities there. There is a 7-Eleven downstairs with a wide selection of rice balls, bread, coffee, fruit and various meals.It's about a 3-minute walk, and there's also [Gekiyasu Supermarket], the best value-for-money supermarket in all of Kyoto. It has a wide range of fresh produce, seafood, fruit, bread and everyday items, and prices are generally more affordable than nearby supermarkets! It can comfortably accommodate 2-3 people. In March 2026, the bathroom and bathtub were completely renovated. It has aluminium doors and windows, a washing machine and basic cooking equipment, combining a nostalgic touch with modern comfort.
