We worked hard for two years to find this quiet and elevator building, and then spent another year negotiating with the owner to convince him to buy this building, which is really run by Japanese people, so you can experience 100% of Japanese daily life! We carefully decorated more than a dozen rooms in this building with different features and styles. Each room's theme is also handmade and painted by us. It takes about a month to open a new room. But my favorite time is when there are no people at midnight. The river surface is glittering and magical, like another world. We opened this guest house in October, 2017. It is the middle of downtown in Kyoto. It is 5 minutes walk from Kawaramachi station(Hankyu line). From Shijo station, it is 10 minutes walk. From Shijo station to Kyoto station is 4 minutes by subway. Our guest house is next to Shin-kyogoku dori, there are many restaurants, souvenir shops, convenient stores, fashion items, 100yen stores.... It is easy to access to Nishiki-ichiba(we called the kitchen of Kyoto, market), Teramachi dori, Gion on foot.
