Holiday rentals with breakfast in Shikoku

It was a very wonderful 3 night and 4 day trip. It was my first time in a remote island location, but the climate was very accessible, quiet, peaceful, and I loved it. The family of three visited us, but we used the space too large for the three of us luxuriously, heard the sound of the sea, and relaxed while being healed. Basically, we had a BBQ or made a simple lunch in the kitchen. I was also planning to eat out, but it is temporarily closed or booked and inquiries are required in advance. There are days when I bought cup noodles and haggendats at the only JA store on the island, and enjoyed it. The people on the island were also very kind and at home! Thank you very much, Rika. I'm going to Megijima again!

You were a very generous and kind host. The room was divided into multiple rooms, and it was very comfortable to stay with 7 people.We were also very grateful that you prepared breakfast. There is a Bussaiyama Onsen near the inn, and it was very nice to be able to use it on foot. I would like to stay here again. Thank you very much.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this stylish little home. Mitsi and Tomo are very friendly hosts and the breakfast restaurant they run is next door, so that is very convenient and delicious! We especially liked that the home is right next to the water, the JR station, and the pedestrian mall. The nautical history of the place (it used to be a sail-right-up waterfront property with a mooring ring) was also cool. There are two-and-a-half bedrooms; three beds in three rooms, but two of the rooms are semi-connected, and you could count them as one private room or two partly-private rooms. This was not a problem for us but others might want to know.

We’ve been very lucky to stay at Yota’s house. It’s very convenient to enjoy the calm of the island at night just 3mn away from Naoshima. Yota is a great cook and offers a dinner and a breakfast - it’s a real bed and breakfast, which is very uncommon in Airbnb. He has plenty of records and a video projector to enjoy a movie at night. I’d recommend it +++! Thanks again

The farm with animals and a treehouse is perfect for families. Our kids loved it! We were allowed to help feed the animals and were warmly accompanied. The hosts took time for us, showed us everything and were incredibly hospitable. In the morning and evening we were pampered with delicious, authentic Japanese cuisine that tasted the whole family. You live together with the couple in the house and occupy their own room there. We would have liked to have stayed longer.

Amazing stay with Kikue. Very responsive and communicative leading up to my visit. She was so nice and gave me incredible recommendations. Even drove me to the train station while it was raining! I would highly recommend staying here anytime visiting Hiroshima!

Wonderful stay in a traditional house. The place is located just outside the city in a peaceful neighborhood next door to a shrine and gardens and rice fields. Masae is such a kind person and super fun to talk with. Overall it was one of the best lodging experiences in Japan and highly recommended if visiting anywhere near Tokushima. Hope to return one day soon.

Wonderful stay in the city centre of Hiroshima, would definitely recommend!

It was an extremely pleasant stay in this extremely comfortable apartment. The location is quiet and close to everything. We enjoyed the last day of the delicious fresh breakfast that was offered to us. We can only recommend this!

We had a comfortable stay. The apartment is very clean and had enough space for us (couple). The beds are really soft. The bedroom is very bright, if you need a dark room to sleep I suggest a sleep mask. Walkable to the streetcars, peace park and Hondori street. We found lots of nice restaurants close by too!

This is a really great find. Friendly instant communication with Komachi. Upmarket area of the city within walking distance of the Peace Park and related locations + close to the tramway and bus, restaurants etc. The apartment is part of an ultra-modern complex and has the important addition of the lift. The interior is decorated in white throughout and is spacious and immaculately clean. All amenities, fittings etc are brand new and there is literally nothing lacking. The big surprise then is the price, which is way below what I would expect to pay for this kind of standard. Fabulous overall rating.

Atsuko is very welcoming and immediately told me about the nearby onsen and booked a table in the only local restaurant. I had a restful night, in a comfortable bed for a western amount! Thank you!

We had a lovely stay at Yumi and Tadao. They are great hosts, their house is beautiful and welcoming. They helped us with information regarding traveling to Naoshima and restaurant recommendations and reservations. Thank you

Ouchi's place is full to the brim with charm and is delightfully located. The view of Onomichi is fantastic, and a lasting memory for us will be waking up each morning to birds dancing and singing in the sakura tree by our window. On top of all that, Ouchi is a lovely host who made us feel more than welcome. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Onomichi :)

Outstandingly the best place we have ever stayed. The location and setting are out of this world and the property is immaculate, but more than that, the hosts are the best. Mio & Sho are welcoming and top level hosts, who allowed us to share this beautiful home with them as well as their stories. Great people.

Sandra and Ouchi have created an extraordinary place in Onomichi! My wife and me stayed one night in the fairytale room and had a delicious breakfast in the pavilion surrounded by flushing cherry trees! It was so nice to talk to Sandra! We will certainly come back one day. 6 Stars location!

It was an endlessly pleasant stay in this stunning house with a view of the sea. The hosts were such kind and lovely people that it's impossible to put into words how warm and caring they were. The food they prepared was so delicious that I was left speechless. I had both dinner and breakfast, and the hosts kindly went out of their way to make vegan meals especially for me, which made it even more meaningful. It was such a joy to witness their gentle relationship and the love they show for their sweet daughter, Emma-chan. Unfortunately, I accidentally took the key with me, causing the hosts some inconvenience, but luckily I had only traveled to a nearby island, and I was able to return the key on my way back. It was such a tender and emotional moment that it brought tears to my eyes. I wholeheartedly recommend staying in this house! P.S. I'm sure I forgot the key because I was completely overwhelmed by that insanely delicious breakfast, especially the bread that was baked by Totoshka

It’s the perfect place to enjoy breakfast overlooking a picturesque seaside sunrise. Satomi is so kind and a great host. The most difficult part of staying here is leaving in the morning!
