It has a drum-type washing machine with a drying function, so it is convenient for long-term stays. It is on the second floor of a three-story building, and you will use the entire floor. There is also a desk that can be used for remote work and studying. There is a projector, so you can enjoy YouTube and movies on a big screen. It is very convenient because you can go to a large supermarket, drug store, fast food store, 100-yen store, post office, and money exchange shop in 1-2 minutes on foot. You can get to Urawa Misono Station, Saitama Stadium, Meijiro University, and Higashi-Chikagaguchi Station on a single bus ride. Omiya Station and Kasukabe Station are also 10 minutes away by train, providing good access to the Saitama Super Arena, Kawagoe, Railway Museum, Tobu Zoo, Skytree, and Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, Shibuya, and Ueno. Welcome to Richard Flavin's Washi House! Richard Flavin (1943–2020) was a Japanese paper artist originally from the US. He studied design in Boston and came to Japan in 1970. He later studied woodblock printing and developed a deep interest in the production of washi. He also cultivated the raw material for washi paper, paper mulberry. We invite those interested in washi paper and art to stay overnight and enjoy this space, reminiscent of a washi paper museum, including these unfinished areas.
