Marc’s place is very comfortable! Private and very quiet. Everything required for self-catering is provided, and there is a small supermarket around the corner and 2 larger ones within 5-10min walk. The outlook over the river, and watching the working boats, as well as the rowers of an evening, was terrific. Easy 20min walk to the historic centre of Southampton, and easy access to the Itchen Bridge for Portsmouth and other seaside locations. Marc was very responsive, and very accommodating of an early check-in. We’d be happy to return to Marc’s place!

We had a wonderful 3 night stay and wished we had booked longer. The property was immaculately clean, had a very welcoming feel, was lovely and light, warm and cosy. There was nothing to fault. The kitchen was well equipped and easy to use. Shower great in the bathroom. The location on the edge of the Royal Victoria Country park is beautiful and very easily accessible. Would 100% recommend and would return.

We were in Southampton visiting friends and family and had a great 2 night stay in Steve and Jane's lovely studio. It was immaculately clean, had everything we needed and with a lovely inviting, homely vibe. The location was very peaceful and felt rural, even though we were only a few minutes drive from the local high street. Although we'd bought our own provisions with us, we appreciated the thoughtfulness of the welcome staples of bread, milk, butter, biscuits, breakfast things etc. Steve and the dogs gave us a lovely friendly welcome when we arrived and we will definitely stay again when the need to be in the area arises. Definitely recommend to others.
