Farmstay holiday rentals in Sicily

This is a fantastic location to see all that southern Sicily has to offer. We loved the house along with it's beautiful surroundings. Our host was on site and extremely responsive to our needs. Very helpful with local recommendations and we loved the fresh fruit and vegetables offered to us as guests grown right on the premises; a very nice benefit to staying with Gioacchino! We will visit again:)

Andrea's place is lovely. After being in Napoli and Palermo for a week, it was a nice change of pace to be in the country. The pictures of the cottage do not do it justice. The cottage is quite a it bigger than the pictures suggest. The bed was comfortable and cozy. Our favourite part of staying at Andrea's was drinking wine and looking at the scenery. My husband and I would definitely recommend staying at this air bnb!

We (6 people) spent a week at Francesco's place the old farmhouse. A wonderful place to relax, away from stress and everyday life. Everything is there, from dishes, washing-up liquid and tea towels to a washing machine, table tennis, table football, pizza oven and a great, very well-maintained pool. In the surrounding towns you can find everything else you need, for example delicious cakes, regional cheese and very fresh fish. Francesco speaks English and is happy to give information about excursions, the history of the farm, olive cultivation and much more. We felt very comfortable there.

Charmante maison rustique, propre et bien équipée pour 8 personnes. Comme déjà mentionné dans plusieurs commentaires, la vue est à couper le souffle avec la mer d’un côté et l’Etna de l’autre. Ernesto est un hôte extraordinaire, très attentionné et de très bon conseil.

Sehr schöne und ruhige Untekunft mit wunderschönem Blick auf die Berge. Am Horizont sieht man das Meer (15 min. Fahrt). Sehr Privat und abgelegen. Der nette Nachbar kam einmal kurz vorbei um uns zu begrüßen. Alles in allem eine sehr schönes und abgelegenes Haus mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Wichtig ist zu wissen dass das Haus nur von einer Straße befahren werden darf, auch wenn mehrere Straßen zu dem Haus führen. Die fahrt kann dadurch länger dauern als bei Maps angegeben.

Ein süßes kleines und wunderschön gelegenes Ferienhaus....mit einer guten Ausstattung...wir kochen sehr gerne und haben alles notwendige vorgefunden. Enza und Francesca sind sehr liebenswürdige und hilfsbereite Menschen...Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. DANKE für die schönen Tage.

Wat een prachtig mooi verblijf in Sicilië. Een 125 jaar oude Baglio opgeknapt in de authentieke stijl. Zoals je ziet op de foto's is het interieur clean en tot in de puntjes verzorgd. Heerlijk zoveel ruimte. Je omgeeft je in een oude boerderij met verschillende verblijven en een gezamenlijke patio met de meest prachtige bloeiende en geurende bomen. Een oase van rust en schoonheid. De Baglio is omgeven door olijven en citrus bomen en je kunt er gerust rondlopen. Je voelt je als een local. De eigenaresse Elena verblijft in 1 van de vertrekken en is er altijd als je haar nodig hebt. Elena is een hartelijke, lieve en inspirerende dame. Al de tips die je van haar krijgt kun je meteen opvolgen, allemaal top tips. Door deze Baglio en omgeving konden we heerlijk ontspannen en genieten van Sicilië. Het voelde als thuis. 7 min rijden zit in je het Balestrate dorpje met diverse restaurants en het strandje. Perfecte ligging om iedere dag een andere activiteit te doen. Elena bedankt voor alles!

Deze accommodatie ligt boven op de berg en is het omhoog rijden dubbel en dwars waard. De omgeving is prachtig, rustig en ligt op een half uur rijden van het strand. De kamers zijn eenvoudig, maar van alle gemakken voorzien. Het zelf bereidde Siciliaanse diner is heerlijk. In de eetkamer staat nog de originele olijfolie pers. Matteo en de andere medewerkers zijn weg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Voor wie van rust, mooie natuur en lekker eten houdt is dit een echte aanrader!

Wir waren mit unseren 2 Töchtern (7 und 11) dort und es hat an nichts gefehlt. Der Pool ist großartig! Der Check In war sehr flexibel, das Haus gut zu finden. Der Weg zum Haus ist etwas holprig, aber machbar. Wir haben Ausflüge nach Noto, Avola, Syrakus, zum Cava Grande und an einige umliegende Strände gemacht. Alles war traumhaft schön! Das Haus ist hierfür ein sehr guter Ausgangspunkt. Unsere Kontakte vor Ort haben immer schnell geantwortet und gute Tipps gegeben. Auch der Check Out hat gut geklappt. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Gorgeous location, fabulous hosts - nothing was too much trouble. A really lovely family who gave great recommendations and were so helpful in general. The view is far better than described you can actually see the sea from the terrace. A great family break!

Just returned from a wonderful 11 days at the villa. The accommodation and grounds were more than enough room for all 9 of us (5 adults 4 children). The villa is super clean, nicely presented and situated in a beautiful rural location, which is very accessible from one of the main roads. We loved the large pool and there was plenty of room poolside for the kids to play football and have fun. It was also very safe for our adventurous two year old. Kathryn and her husband were first class hosts, providing us with useful information, sweet treats, and allowing us to pick fresh fruit from the farm. They were attentive to our every need. We also enjoyed using the barbecue, watching the sunset and having walks around the farm. Piazza Armerina is a nice, quiet little town. There are some good restaurants and people are very friendly. We also visited Taomirna, Enna and Caltagirone. It was a perfect getaway and we would definitely book again.

Wir hatten einen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt in der Anlage von Magali auf Sizilien! Umgeben von wunderschönen, uralten Olivenbäumen und mit einem traumhaften Blick auf die Olivenhaine und das Meer, haben wir mit einer Gruppe von Freunden alle vier Ferienhäuser gemietet. Jedes Haus war perfekt ausgestattet und ließ keine Wünsche offen. Die Küche hatte alles, was man brauchte, einschließlich Spülmaschine und Waschmaschine, und die Möbel waren alle neu und modern. Besonders die Schlafcouch mit ihrer exzellenten Matratze und die bequemen Betten sorgten für erholsame Nächte. Die gesamte Anlage ist ein kleines Paradies, mit einem großzügigen Eingangsbereich, wo man perfekt in Gruppen zusammensitzen kann. Wir haben die Zeit draußen im Garten, unter den schattenspendenden Bäumen, besonders genossen. Der Pinienwald mit Hängematten und Sesseln bot den idealen Rückzugsort zum Entspannen und Chillen. Great stay close to nature, parks and with easy access to main roads to reach Cefalú and other small towns. Very convenient supermarket nearby. The hosts were very kind and welcoming, provided fresh towels and a fully equipped kitchen. We explored small towns like Mistretta, Caronia and Parco dei Nebrodi. Highly recommend and great value for money.

My family and friends had a simply wonderful stay in this beautiful villa. We chose it because it was a little further off the beaten path and more “authentic old Italian villa” feeling than other places in Sicily. And it delivered exactly the experience we were looking for and more. The villa itself was spacious and yet adorable. Huge old and beautiful windows and doors to bring the outside in. Had everything we needed. The views and outdoor space around the villa were also so lovely and enjoyable. Beautiful little olive orchard. Terraces and outdoor entertaining spaces galore. The game room and pool were awesome for our kids. The pool is unheated, but warm enough to use mid April. But the best part about this villa was the experiences Rosario coordinated for us. We had 2 nights where a chef came over to cook us dinner. The chef turned out to be the neighbor, who cooked the most delicious Sicilian meals we’ve had. She also arranged a visit to a farm and limoncello maker. Amazing!

Thanks to Gaetano we had a perfect stay! He was so helpful and even brought a plate of delicious pasta, because we had some problems with our rental car and arrived quite late at the first evening. The accommodation is more than beautiful: you have a perfect view of the Etna and you can try some of the wonderful juicy oranges. Everything was perfect!

We enjoyed stay very very much. Francesco and his family was very friendly and helpful. The apartment was nice and clean and close to the beach. Ideal for family with small child. We especially enjoyed jacuzzi on New Years Eve :).

We stayed for four weeks in march. We had a great time, we fell in love with the place and their lovely dog Fiocco who is very sweet, also to children. Therèse and Viviana were very kind and helpful when we had questions. The house is situated in the middle of a large lemon grove and a daily stroll to the sea (it's a pebble beach) is greatly recommended. The nearby village San Stefano di Camastra is great for an ice cream and a coffee. We expected more hikes to be near, as it is located right next to Nebrodi but finding and reaching hotspots (hiking or otherwise) was ultimately harder than expected. We encountered this across Sicily though and is not related to the house itself. Our children loved to roam around the premises and find their own little adventures. All in all, we had a great relaxed stay and felt in tune with rural Sicily.

We vonden het een fijn huis en de tuin was prachtig. Het zwembad was heerlijk. Het dorp vonden we helaas minder sfeervol en we zijn vanuit het huis dan ook vooral met de auto op pad gegaan. In deze plek waren nog andere accomodaties maar de sfeer was gemoedelijk.

Ottavio's farm is a lovely place to stay and Ottavio and Elena were great hosts. The farm is in an industrial area but you don't see that once you are there. The location is convenient for travelling Sicily's east coast. The place was very clean, both inside our apartment and around the pool area which is lovely and well kept. Breakfast is included and you can choose from a rotating menu the night before and it is delivered to your door. Highly recommend.

The place was PERFECT. It was an ideal location with an amazing view! Benita was such a great hostess, offering directions to nearby grocery stores and local sights! So sweet of her to have some pastries and wine available when we arrived as a welcome gift! I look forward to staying there again in the future!

Vi bodde en vecka i Davides fina villa med magnifik utsikt över hav, berg och dalgång. Villan var ren och fräsch, stor terrass och pool som rengjordes dagligen. Med villan som utgångspunkt kunde vi med vår hyrbil utforska närområdet som har mycket att erbjuda. Stranden i Alcamo är bara 10 minuter bort. Staden är härligt genuin, få turister och gott om bra restauranger. Möjlighet att besöka vinproducenter finns i närområdet och utflyktsmål som Segesta, Erice och San Vito nås på under en timme. Davide var mycket hjälpsam och gav rekommendationer och annan hjälp. Både in- och utcheckning fungerade perfekt. Vi kan ge våra alla varmaste rekommendationer till detta boende!

Très bel emplacement avec magnifique vue et au calme. Maison fonctionnelle ,confortable et très bien équipée avec belle piscine. Hôte et son concierge accueillants et très réactifs. Il s agit d une maison avec deux chambres et deux salles de bain et de deux appartements distincts avec chacun une grande chambre et une salle de bain. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour et avons pu profiter des excursions proches de Taormine,l Etna et Syracuse.

Eine absolute Traumunterkunft! Alles war noch schöner als auf den Fotos. Wir als Pärchen haben den Urlaub in vollen Zügen genossen und werden definitiv wiederkommen! Herzlichen Dank noch einmal an Elena, die alles perfekt vorbereitet und uns mit unserer Anfahrt geduldig geholfen hat.

This little cottage is a gem. We liked its location in the countryside amid olive trees, yet close enough to town and Mt Etna excursions. We encountered unusually windy and rainy weather so we were very grateful for the wood fireplace and cosy feel of the place. Host Marco was always responsive and so very pleasant to deal with. This is a family cottage and it has a very warm and positive feel. Thank you, Marco, for sharing it with us!
