Monthly Rentals in Silpho

Michael and Debra are wonderful hosts and well deserving of their Superhost status . They are a perfect example of what Airbnb is all about. Extremely friendly and made us feel most welcome. Communication was excellent prior to arriving and they were on site to help or answer any queries, including picking us up from a restaurant in Scarborough. Salt Pan Cottage is beautiful, well equipped, spotlessly clean, comfortable and has a lovely garden. The continental breakfast was much appreciated , as were all the other extras provided. It is in an excellent location for walking being only minutes from the Cinder Track, the Cleveland Way, the village and bus routes. We loved our stay and would definitely return .

We had a lovely 3 night stay with our toddler. The view is beautiful! The house had everything we needed and was spotless. We took a walk to find the waterfall and although very steep it didn’t take too long, even with a 20 month old in tow. The pub down the hill was also very lovely. The nearest shop was about a 10 minute drive away but wasn’t a problem. We visited Whitby, Scarborough and Robin Hood’s bay. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful scenic stay :)

The cottage was beautiful, as described. Very cosy and clean. Thanks so much for the wine on arrival. Great kitchen facilities etc. A very comfortable stay. Great central location to explore North York Moors. Very close to Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, Scarborough etc. Would love to return in the future!

We had a lovely stay at Folly Gill. Lorna was really warm and friendly settling us in with a gift basket and flowers! Folly gill was warm and comfortable (loved the underfloor heating!) with some particularly well thought out touches (pillows of different thicknesses!). We had fun exploring the local area with the beach and cliff walk from Boggle Hole to Robin Hood’s Bay and back, a particular highlight. We ate at the Plough in Scalby which was lovely, not having enough time to check out other recommendations. We loved seeing all the birds, particularly the pheasants, and owls and the night sky at Folly Gill (a dark sky reserve) was a revelation! Thank you!
