The Coach House is perfect for couples seeking a relaxing break; whether sight-seeing, walking, dining out, everything is on your doorstep. Built in the 1800’s the Victorian red brick and wood beams are a feature of the upstairs, open plan living area, which is fully equipped with everything you need for a chilled out self-catering break. On the ground floor, the bedroom can be configured as generous king size bed or a twin at your request. There is a Private parking bay for one car.

There's a shower room and a small kitchen area with a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. Wool-based insulation and central heating keep the hut cosy warm all year. Things to see include:- Beamish Museum (a must see!!), The Roman Wall, Durham, Kilhope Lead mining Museum and The Metro Centre.

Swinburne Castle

Swinburne Castle is perfectly situated within its own beautiful parkland and gardens. Traditionally decorated, parts of the house have tremendous history dating back to the 12th century. The east wing is extremely comfortable and private, and don't be perturbed by the stone steps leading down to the vaulted cellar. In the mornings you can look forward to a delicious breakfast in the formal dining room. There is ample parking and a tennis court you are welcome to use.
