This is a unique rustic cabin on a private dirt road nestled on a mountain brook in the forest adjoining the Giant Mountain Wilderness Area. This small (200 sq ft + 80 sq ft sleeping loft), Adirondack style cabin was completely refurbished this past year using locally sourced woods and built by hand. Located two miles from downtown Keene Valley, and at 1800 feet, this is an ideal place for those who prefer the quiet forest, the peaceful sound of a mountain brook, and possibily seeing animals.

Enjoy kayaking, tubing, fishing, or swimming in Adirondack Lake, few minute walk to town for dinner, drinks, entertainment. It is 20 minutes from Gore Mountain, many hiking trails, 15 minutes from the Adirondack Museum. Indian lake offers free of charge an ice skating rink, skates, and sledding area at their ski center. We offer snow shoes, cross country skis, sleds.We have a pool table and foose ball table to use.

Walk to the grocery store, restaurants, shops, or the sandy beach on Lake Pleasant (.6 miles). Each guest receives individualized local recommendations. Sweet cabin modest in scale, simple and pure to not detract from the richness of the views, offering a fresh, invigorating sense of just what is needed, nothing more. The rugged primitive siding was harvested from on-site cedar trees; the knotty pine interior was locally sourced. Friends gifted a claw foot tub and historic farm house sink. Enjoy an optional hot tub experience in our Japanese spa.
