Great place to be at peace and enjoy nature

Large, beautiful property with lots of charm and all of the amenities. It's the jungle and the buildings are simple, so prepare to contend with a few ( harmless ) bugs in the outdoor kitchen and in the rooms. Road to property is a bit long, narrow and rough. Internet was a bit spotty ( reportedly due to construction nearby ) but cell reception was good. Overall met my expectations and was a joy. Thanks Hiram!

All in all it was a nice place to stay. The little Bungalows are very cozy. The staff was absolute helpful and always reachable. it's not directly at a beach, but close to the main road. I would really recommend it :)

What can I say about AKNA Cabanas. This has been my third time to Cozumel and somehow Jose manages to make it better easy time. I've never had an Airbnb host so invested in making sure I am having a great experience. He was kind enough to pick us up and drop off of at the airport for free. Provided endless recommendations about local restaurants and attractions. Connected us with locals providing tours (and getting us an amazing discount just for AKNA visitors). And overall, stayed in constant contact to ensure we had everything we needed and weren't having any issues. I've now traveled to 8 different countries and stayed in countless Airbnbs, but I can say the Jose has been the best host by far. I recommend this location to all my friends and family and will definitely be coming back in the future!

This is an amazing bungalow outside of the hustle and bustle of Cozumel! Near an amazing, upscale beach club and behind one of the best lobster places you will ever eat at! If you are looking for a quiet place to connect with the island you’ll find it here! Fernanda was very punctual and accommodating! Her space is clean and has a homey feel with a private outdoor area perfect for unwinding. The area was very safe feeling for my solo trip behind a locked gate. I will definitely be back!

Everything is perfect, very well located, excellent if you are on foot, although it is a few meters from Fifth Avenue you do not listen to the bustle or the music of the bars, so it is excellent to rest! Very good cost-benefit ratio, I recommend it and I would definitely return.

This place is perfect for certain travelers. It is secluded; not far from Akumal, but once you arrive here, you won't want to leave. It is a place to unplug, relax, and get away. The home is a beautifully-constructed palapa with screened bedrooms, but otherwise wide open. Jungle noises, fresh air, and yes, insects, bats, and iguanas can and do pass right through. There is no air conditioning or heat, and the lovely private bathroom is a short walk down a path. The stairs to the bedrooms are steep; something to think about if you need to use the bathroom during the night. The outdoor space is huge, including a private cenote used by other guests, but we were usually the only ones there. The grounds include a temazcal, and other hand-built structures and lots of indigenous art. There are hammocks to nap in; spider monkeys and many species of birds. The staff are lovely, and Christiam is great. All are very responsive and helpful. Bring plenty of groceries so that you don't have to leave.

Largely the best accommodation of the stay both by the magic of the place and the hospitality of Claire and her son ( who speak French). Claire is an exceptional person who has an amazing life. For us it was a very nice meeting.
