Monte Nido is nestled in the Santa Monica Mountains between Calabasas and Malibu, 5 minutes away from Pepperdine University in Malibu. You can walk to the Backbone trail head from our yard. The guest house has a private entrance, full kitchen, bath and french doors that open up to a private patio with a fountain. There is also a private deck for star gazing and afternoon naps. Perfect for hiking, biking, surfing, and relaxation. There are no streetlights or sidewalks. It is truly paradise.

The Cabin at Painted Canyon Homestead This serene cabin is situated at the mouth of a canyon overlooking Morongo Valley, where the high desert meets the San Gorgonio & San Jacinto Mountains. As the guest house on our property of 5 acres, the cabin is privately located bordering vast public lands. Wander the property, hike the canyon trail, visit our four cheeky mini donkeys, & enjoy the wood-fired hot tub (or use it with fresh cold water!). Perfectly suited for two w/ lots of space to explore!

VERY PRIVATE/QUIET location overlooking Solstice Canyon Park with ocean and mountain views. We are in a rural, quiet area close to Pepperdine University, Point Dume, Zuma Beach, City Center, Restaurants and Dining. You can surf, hike, visit local wineries, or just chill and enjoy the ambiance and natural landscape. You can inquire about your furry friends (pets - extra fee). Rancho Santa Rosa Casita/Art Gallery, Spa & Sauna

We are 15 degrees cooler than Palm Springs in the summer. Our back area stays at around 70 degrees in the winter. This was a cattleman's bunkhouse at the turn of the century and is located on the San Jacinto/Santa Rosa National Monument. It borders with the San Bernardino National Forest and is across the highway from hiking and equestrian trails.
