Villa holiday rentals in Stalida

We spent 14 nights at Samiro Home Villa. Evi was the perfect host, thoughtful, considerate and responded very quickly to all queries. Everything about the villa was clean and excellent. The grounds offered plenty of opportunities for both sun and shade and the gas barbecue made meals at home easy. Perched high up in the hills, the villa is peaceful and commands marvellous views over the mountains and countryside. It is located an easy 30 minute drive from the centre of Heraklion (recommend parking in the port area €3 all day) and around 45 minutes from the major archaeological sites at Gortys, Phaistos and Agia Triada.

the villas are located in a resort on a kind of plateau at an altitude of 300 m with an incredible view of the west facing bay. Depending on the villas you have an unobstructed view of the sunset over the bay. Ours was on the first line and we were able to see a flamboyant sunset every night. The villa was very well equipped. Some have a private pool. Not ours but the communal pool was largely enough for our happiness. The location was peaceful. 20/25 minutes from the beaches, 40 minutes from Agios Nicolaos, Laltitude allowed us to have very bearable temperatures for lunch outside or enjoy the swimming pool while at the same time at sea level it was very hot Chris and Warren the resort managers were flexible and responsive. Had a lovely 10 days. I recommend to anyone who loves calm, the sea, the lounging sun by the pool and pleasant villas to live in. Important point: The road is very winding .

We had an amazing time in Villa Capri. It was absolutely spotless and had everything we could possibly need. We stayed here with 3 of our children and the villa and pool was very well maintained and safe for them. The location was fantastic. You walk out of the villa and straight into the village square, which is beautiful with lovely restaurants, bars and bakeries. Really hope to return one day. Thanks again Jackie, Rae and Jason

Check-in and check-out was super easy. Our host was very accommodating. There was a nice and delicious host gift to get in. When the vacuum cleaner was broken, he picked it up and brought it back a few days later. The villa is slightly elevated overlooking the infinity pool, associated olive grove and Malia. The view is gorgeous. You are lonely (except for the crickets), but still within 10 minutes walking in the city, where there are a bakery with delicious cakes and baguette / croissants in addition to several supermarkets, lots of restaurants, right by the church. The house is equipped with everything you could need. It is nicely decorated, with decoration, many pictures and books (also which in German). There is a foosball that we liked to use. The pool is gorgeous, about 1.40 m deep (our son is 1.44 m tall and was able to hold your head over water on your toes. The pool may be 6m x 3.50m. It's just appreciated. He was enough for us. It is nice that often despite the 30 - 32 degrees Celsius a light wind went, so it was a lot of fun to stay in and around the pool. We were able to park our rental car under a carob tree on the property, so that it was always in the shade. We highly recommend staying at Villa Verde.

Eirini was a fantastic host. The Villa had all the amenities and necessities one could ask for. The views were amazing and the outdoor space was wonderful.

The pictures don’t do this view justice. It’s breathtaking! The home is gorgeous and the outdoor space is wonderful. It was too cold for us to swim but we still enjoyed time at the beach. Most of the immediate area was already shut down for the season during our stay but there is a lovely area about a mile walk away. We spent a lot of time there enjoying the coffee shops and restaurants. The house and rooms were fantastic and there was more than enough space for everyone to relax. The host was amazing and went above and beyond to help us when we left some glasses at a restaurant. Thank you so much for a great stay!!

Here's a very nice but clear review: ⸻ We were received extremely friendly upon our arrival – a perfect start to an all-round successful stay. The accommodation is top in every way: modern, clean and superbly equipped. Particularly noteworthy is the quiet location directly on the sea – absolutely idyllic. The garden area is lovingly maintained and invites you to relax. The highlight was the heated private pool, which made for perfect swimming even on cooler days. We felt very comfortable and would definitely be happy to come back.

The villa was excellent! We enjoyed a wonderful stay here in the glorious secluded Cretan mountains. Some things we thought were excellent: -very spacious master bedrooms -excellent pool area, bar and outdoor dining area, including barbecue -incredible views over the sea -great parking -felt very secure Some things we thought could be better: -some minor things broken (like door handles and windows), but we did stay at the end of the season and imagine they will be fixed before the next peak period -slippy floors that could be dangerous when wet -water pressure in the upstairs showers wasn’t great -kitchen is on the small side Also the villa manager Dimitris was very hospitable, responsive and friendly. And there was also a lovely cat that befriended us (we called her Lesley) who we all took a shine to. All in all we really enjoyed our time at Villa Bella Elena and would recommend it highly to large groups or families.

From the moment we arrived , we were welcomed in the most beautiful way, an aperitif waiting for us to come! Despite the language barrier, our hosts have always done their best to explain the rules of hosting in case of problems. I want to thank our hosts for their responsiveness and hospitality, thanks to them the stay which was already amazing has become even more unforgettable!

We had a great week at Stavros' villa. Warmly welcomed with a homemade cake, we were able to enjoy the great house and the wonderful pool. We got a lot of tips and had the opportunity to ask for help at any time. We also loved the surroundings and especially the friendly people, we will be back, thank you so much!!!!

My husband, our 7yo daughter, and I stayed at Michaela's house in Crete for five nights in April, and we enjoyed it very much. The inside is clean, comfortable, and decorated nicely, but the outside living space - the pool area, the outside dining/grilling area, the terraces - make it special. Michaela's mother Eva, who lives next door, is an exceptionally welcoming and kind host. While she was nearby to help make our stay as comfortable as possible, there was no loss of privacy in the proximity. The house is in a quiet residential area, and we rented a car to get to grocery stores, restaurants, beaches, etc., and to explore Crete in general; this was easy and worked out very well. The weather during our stay was still cool enough, especially at night, so we didn't make full use of the AC system, but the house seems well equipped to handle summer heat. All in all, we recommend and hope to stay again sometime!

Giorgos was a great host. Flexible with our demands and very responsive whenever we had any issues. For example, we had a hot water problem, which he resolved quickly after we informed him. The villa is very beautiful with a 360 view of Heraklion and the surrounding area. It has a great living room space for social gatherings, outside tables for dining and a grill. The kitchen was also well equipped with a large fridge+freezer, dish washer, microwave oven and gas hobs. The gym was well equipped and the swimming pool water was very clean. There was a washing machine with a lot of drying space. Several of the rooms have private bathrooms. The villa was not easily reachable by foot but that is the case for most places on Crete. It had however plenty of parking space and remotely operated gates. We didn't try the jacuzzi so can't comment on that and the piano was locked. Overall our stay was amazing, we're very happy and would recommend Giorgos as a host :)

Blue Key Villa is outstanding. Situated high above the coastline it has spectacular views from almost anywhere in the Villa. Manos and his team are excellent and are able to provide recommendations and services for use in Villa. We used their recommended chef, Spyros, one evening, and it was brilliant. Communication is clear, and responses received promptly. Blue Key is an exceptional property.

We had an amazing stay. The house is beautiful and as described. The house and the grounds were pristine. Tony and his family were very friendly, accommodating and greeted us early morning for check in. They provided drinks and breakfast for the morning which was fantastic as we were travelling with 2 small boys. Highly recommended and look forward to returning.

Where to start? First of all the house is more beautiful in person even . We were 4 people and it was a pleasure to reach him every day . There is a gym and a corner to prepare a barbecue including a huge table for the whole family and of course the huge pool that was fun and relaxing and next to it sun beds and a seating area of sofas . You wake up to the nature side with the most relaxing sea view in the world. In addition, in the area of the house there is a fruit tree that you can pick and eat and a lemon tree and mint that we picked and made us tea with lemon and mint every morning against the mesmerizing backdrop. We arrived in a bit of cold weather in the evening so when we came home and entered the house the house was warm and it is the most fun to enter a warm house. In addition, there is a towel/clothes warmer in the shower on the second floor which was very useful for us! The house is isolated from others which is why we chose it. That we would not have noise from the neighbors and it was a right decision. We rented a car so everything was close to the area recommend you rent a car too. The host answered any of our questions 🙏🏻 Highly recommend taking this villa, we had a great time in it and if we fly again to Crete we will rent it again for sure 🙏🏻

The Twin House was a fantastic experience. From the moment the our host Georgie met us at the ferry, we knew this was different. He drove us to get our rental car then we folllowed him to the house. There he showed us around and explained the features of his beautiful house. He even had us follow him to a restaurant in he next town , that he knew would still be open. Georgie was the epitome of the perfect host. The house was wonderful. Three great bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths , the xtra toilet and sink made mornings so much easier! Great parking and a lighted pristine pool. If we ever return to Crete we know just where to stay. Thank you Georgie.

Fantastic for both families and adults. Wealth of space

We felt very comfortable at Villa Anacosta. The furnishings are very loving and the hosts are also very warm and easily accessible. The kitchen is very well equipped! Overall, the amenities are very good: air conditioners in every room, washing machine, screens... The villa looks exactly like in the photos, the veranda is magnificent. The pool is nice and cool and the whirlpool nice and warm. Hosts come regularly to clean the pools. The villa is located in a very touristy area but a little away from the large hotel complexes, therefore very quiet and idyllic. There is not so much to see on foot, only the beach promenade with few cafes and tourist shops but by car you can reach the most beautiful corners of Crete from there. Car rentals are also right around the corner or at the airport. Overall, we had a great stay at Anacosta Villa and can only recommend you!

Very nice stay, also for youth groups. We had a great week and very much enjoyed everything that chersonisos and the villa had to offer.
