The Cottage is part of a property owned by the Bernocchi family, which was already on maps of the area in the 1500s and is located right on an ancient Roman road that crossed the Calvana Mountains. About 9 km from Prato and 20 km from Florence. The Cottage, open on three sides, is situated in a panoramic position surrounded by a private park, ideal for walking and sports. It is located at the Villini Archetta Mattei, eccentric constructions devised by Count Cesare Mattei, the father of electromeopathy, who lived and operated in the magical Rocchetta Mattei a couple of kilometers away. The Count's friends and patients were staying at the villas, a rare romantic experience for the time in the Apennines.

From the windows of the apartment, on the second floor, you can admire the surrounding landscape from Monte San Vito, the gaze passes towards the Penna di Lucchio, the Towers of Popiglio up to the unmistakable peaks of the Open Book. The famous Suspension Bridge, also illuminated at night, does not go unnoticed. You can also walk to the village of San Marcello in about 15 minutes.

1 km from the Rioveggio motorway exit, the apartment is part of the villa where I live with my family. Guests have independent access from the large terrace, without stairs. In the shared yard, where there are 2 harmless dogs, you can park your car. Apartment for the exclusive use of guests. In summer, it's always cool, even without air conditioning. There is no kitchen, but there is a microwave, refrigerator, coffee machine (with coffee), kettle and dishes.
