Welcome to Huize Stoutenburght, a quiet part of the north of the Netherlands at the foot of Olt Stoutenburght Castle in Blesdijke. Our modernised apartment has its own entrance with an outdoor space and offers you all the privacy of a private cottage, with the special bonus that the castle garden is your back garden. There is no TV on purpose — but there is plenty of peace and quiet, space, a castle garden and the Weerribben and Thialf Heerenveen nearby. Bedding, kitchen towels and towels are provided.

The Nutcracker: cozy farmhouse front house

On one of the most beautiful rural roads just outside the village of Sint Jansklooster is the renovated humpback farm from 1667. We have furnished the front house of the farm as an attractive accommodation for 2 guests who are fond of peace and privacy. The comfortably furnished front house has its own entrance. You have access to 2 canoes and a men's and women's bicycle. The many cycling, hiking and canoeing routes allow you to experience the Weerribben-Wieden National Park in all seasons.

'Ons Stulpje' is a complete, separate appartment with a comfortable kingsize boxspring bed, rain shower and complete kitchen. The jacuzzi can be booked separately (€30 per 2 h timeslot). The (shared) pool can be used in Summer. Chickens roam freely. It is situated in the quiet countryside town Blankenham, close to tourist attractions like Giethoorn, Blokzijl, Steenwijk and National Park Weerribben-Wieden and Pantropica, Urk, and UNESCO Schokland. Breakfast can be added for €15 p.p. per day.

The farm (two under one roof) was built in 1900. The front house has retained many authentic details. The front house with a sitting room offers you peace and space in a rural area. We live in the back house. Ideal for cyclists and hikers. Only 3 km from Steenwijk city center and 3.9 km from the NS station. Close to Giethoorn, the Weerribben and Hunebedden in the Holtingerveld nature reserve. The Colony of Frederiksoord, listed on UNESCO world heritage, is only 6.5 km away.

Our farmhouse, located in a unique spot in Friesland, offers a cosy studio where you can unwind. The studio has everything you need to make yourself comfortable, but if you want to go out, the area has plenty to offer. Through a private entrance you enter the studio. There is a lovely bathroom with a luxurious rain shower, a fully equipped kitchen, and a terrace. In the garden, there is a wood-fired sauna with a shower; the sauna can be used by arrangement (for a small fee).
