We are located in a quite residential area which is located in a quite cul-de-sac in Eastwood, Nottinghamshire. One of the most famous writers of the 20th century was D.H. Lawrence, whose groundbreaking novel Lady Chatterley’s Lover changed English literature for ever. When Lawrence was growing up in Eastwood, this part of Nottinghamshire was dominated by the coal mining industry, which has now declined, but still holds a pride of place in history.
