Farmstay holiday rentals in Surrey

Fourth year we've come back to Louise's. We keep coming because it just such a lovely spot - peaceful, beautiful and really easy for a young family. Louise always makes you feel so welcome with all her little extras like the delicious homemade granola. Lots of thought goes into everything. The accommodation in the pretty diary is comfortable, cosy and well thought through too. Haslemere with it's supermarkets/shops etc... is just a quick drive away. In the past we've been to lovely nearby pubs too. What's really special though is that you are really in the countryside here and the well maintained grounds are beautiful. There'a even a wonderful circular walk to the Black Down's Temple of the Winds, much loved by Tennyson. We can't recommend enough. Thank you so much for another magical stay Louise and family.

Melanie is the perfect host. She was there to greet us on our arrival & show us around. She is a lovely friendly person who really wants to please all her guests. She even left us a few treats. Her local knowledge is excellent & she gave us some great advice for walking. Many places are within walking distance if you are used to long walks & Haslemere is an easy 30 minutes walk so we didn't even have to use the car.The accommodation is so spacious & the kitchen has everything you need. The views from the garden are beautiful so we ate out morning and evening. We would thoroughly recommend staying at High Barn Farm.

We stayed at the View for the weekend to celebrate my partners birthday and as a first holiday with our 5 month old puppy, Peaches. We had a lovely time, the house and grounds were stunning and so peaceful. We went for beautiful walks and bike ride and will recommend to anyone

A recent stay at The Old Dairy couldn’t have been more welcome! Gill is a brilliant, attentive host and incredibly helpful with directions to the property, which is located close to Surrey Hills and plenty of beautiful walking routes. The property itself offers peace and comfort, off the beaten track and perfect for any length of stay. Complete with amenities as described, The Old Dairy is great for a countryside escape. Would very much recommend!

Rose Cottage was just lovely and Colette was a fabulous host! We loved getting to know her, their sweet doggies and beautiful horses! (And one morning, the hens sent us a nice breakfast!) The cottage has 2 nice sized bedrooms on the ground floor, so no lugging suitcases upstairs. Two full baths, one with a claw foot tub that was perfect for soaking after a day of sightseeing. Fully stocked kitchen and comfy family room upstairs to relax and unwind. It really was the perfect landing place for my husband, son, and I to take day trips to Hever Castle, Hampton Court, Syon House and Windsor Castle. All are within an hour; however, this was my first time driving on the "wrong" side of the road so I may have taken a little longer to get to places! And I have to make mention of the Black Swan Pub, just a hop, skip, and jump from the property. We spent many evenings there! Fantastic food and drinks and very friendly staff. If you looking for a tranquil, peaceful and country getaway...then this is the perfect place! The entire property is very homely and just simply beautiful. The hosts are wonderful and are on the property if you need them. You have all the privacy you need. I stayed here for 9 nights and could have stayed for another 9!

We had a wonderful stay with Rui for a hen do weekend. Rui was super kind, accommodating and communicative - we enjoyed the pool, firepit and grounds and used the outhouse and glass house for themed entertaining evenings. The nature nearby is lovely - we had a great time paddleboarding locally. The space is a wing of a large and lovely house - so we were aware of disturbing our hosts with noise, but we were able to use the outside spaces for noisy celebrating and didn’t have any issues! We had a wonderful weekend at Katie's shepherds hut - it was absolutely idyllic and we will definitely be back. Katie was also extremely generous with the delicious food and drink provided in the shepherds hut for us to use including delicious eggs from her chickens. Thank you so much!

Kim made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, went above and beyond preheating the hot tub for our arrival which was incredible and helped us have a wonderful weekend to switch off from London life. Couldn’t recommend enough!

Our family had a wonderful few days at Ingela's. Beautiful accomodation set in country surrounds. We loved the fact that each bedroom had an ensuite. Also enjoyed the relaxed open plan living, cooking, dining area - lots of room for different family members to interact. Ingela and Jim were great, friendly hosts. The property is set down a driveway in country area but only short walk from great local shop in one direction and pub in other direction. A few minutes drive to lovely Cranleigh. Would recommend and would return.

We had a fantastic stay at the Windmill Cabin. As mentioned before the photos really do not do this place justice. The attention to detail, time and quality that has gone into the renovation and decoration of the cabin is commendable. I’m not sure where to start but little things like good quality crockery, a fantastic bathroom and the wooden theme throughout really stood out. Sitting on the terrace, which really is a sun trap from the early afternoon, was just wonderful and of the course the fish fantastic as well. We can’t wait to come back!

The Bungalow is a spacious and comfortable home from home in a peaceful yet accessible location. It is extremely well equipped with everything you might need for a relaxing stay. Highly recommended and we would definitely book here again if we were in this area. Thank you, Julie.

Candida was responsive to all our queries before our stay and as we had elderly parents over Christmas she had the heating going full blast and the stove primed - we were very warm and cosy! Bedrooms are very comfy, excellent WiFi and there’s plenty of hot water. We had a couple of minor issues that were sorted immediately and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If guests come with dogs they should be aware of the family shoot infrastructure nearby so between September and January your pooch need to be kept under control- especially my rather wild dachshund! All in all a lovely place to stay - very rustic but everything works. Many thanks Candida for letting us spend Christmas in your lovely cottage

Thank you for a really fantastic stay! Guy’s Airbnb is truly exceptional - wonderful garden, beautifully furnished and fully equipped space, set right next to the magnificent Black Down. A great base for walks and enjoying a break from the city. Communication was straightforward and some essentials in the fridge and cake left for guests on arrival were a very thoughtful touch. We are already looking forward to coming back!

Both Deborah and Pete are the ultimate hosts. They helped us settle in immediately, both friendly and very approachable. The attention to detail in this accommodation is excellent, from welcome gifts on arrival (including fresh eggs laid daily) and treats and extra blankets etc for our dog. There are lovely gardens and a beautiful pond area in this small holding, stunning for walks any season! It was a peaceful haven for us during a house renovation period where it was wonderful to return to each day. The wonderful sound of owls at nighttime and the magical woodland walks make this a beautiful and serene place to both relax and have as a base for exploring the Surrey hills and surrounds.

Stunning stay at South Lodge. The accommodation was beautifully decorated and sufficiently equipped, as well as being as described. The hosts were very responsive to all queries before and during the stay. The wine and cheese tasting at the Vineyard was a great activity that we thoroughly enjoyed, and the surroundings were stunning. It is right off a country road (albeit cars do go by quite fast), but it was surprisingly quiet and wasn't noticeable.

This was a beautiful place to stay, Paul and Amy have great style and the space felt a lot bigger than the pictures do justice to. Good parking inside the courtyard, very clean with beautiful surrounds and lovely walks close by. Amy and Paul were good and responded quickly to messages for some booking difficulties that I had. Thank you for a lovely stay.

I would highly recommend, the surrounding areas are amazing, peaceful and very good for walking in nature. Cows and geese and relaxing reconnecting with nature. I would like to visit again.

This is probably the best property we have stayed in. It was a beautiful barn, everything we needed, lovely walks from the doorstep, also having private access to Staffhurst wood, where the bluebells were amazing! Very easy access into central London from the local station, 5 minutes away, and a great pub within walking distance! The hosts were very obliging and friendly, we will definitely return. Thank you!

A lovely, spacious house, perfect for a family vacation. The beautiful garden was a highlight for us. We spent most of our time outdoors, and the kids especially enjoyed the pool and trampoline. Indoors, the living room was stocked with a great selection of toys that kept the little ones entertained.

We had a great stay at Bulmer Farm. A really great base to explore the Surrey Hills, and the cottage had everything we could have needed. Sue was extremely responsive and very helpful throughout our stay. Thank you!
