Holiday rentals with a kayak in Sussex County

The place was exactly as pictured and very well maintained! The host was very responsive and quick to answer any messages. The place was very well maintained and a great experience!

We had a wonderful time staying at Amanda’s lake house, so much so that we extended our trip. It the perfect cozy, warm cabin that we were hoping for. It was so nice sitting by the lake and watching the day go by

Lovely lake home with beautiful views, both from the living room and outside deck. The house was well stocked with everything you would need including spices and coffee! We had a wonderful time and will be back.

It is the most wonderfully furnished house. It is right on the river and super tranquil. Who wouldn't want to have a view of the river from the bedrooms and living area. The kitchen is perfectly equipped with all necessities, the bathrooms are squeaky clean, the sofas are super comfortable, and there is plenty of TV (internet/streaming) and wifi for a rainy moment. Beyond that, shipping, dining, and hiking are a very short drive away. Ww would come back anytime.

Evelina was extremely communicative and flexible with our group - we had a lovely time.

This was our second time visiting this house for an annual reunion consisting of 7 adults. The house is very spacious with ample room to hang out in the kitchen, living room and outdoor area. Everything is as described, and we can’t wait to return next year (hopefully during a warmer month so we can fully take advantage of the great outdoor space!)

Stayed here with a group of old friends for a wedding nearby. It was the perfect place to stay for a reunion. Clean, close to everything, beautiful views.

Eugene was incredibly flexible and so friendly! he has an amazing Oasis in the backyard that you just have to check out! Would definitely stay again!!

We have a great time with S’s lake house. Especially the BBQ grill experience was great. We always cook and enjoy mealtimes when we stay. The grill with propane gas was well maintained and we had a delicious meal. Thank you so much!

We loved our stay here! The house had everything we needed and more. The kitchen and bathrooms were spotless (which is the most important to us). The kids loved going down by the lake and had a wonderful time by the fire pit at night. Would definitely come back again and highly recommend! Thank you Pearce and Amy!

The house was comfortable and extremely well equipped. Though the weather was very cold, we were able to enjoy the beauty of the lake with all the windows. Eric was always available to answer any questions. The house has a game room on first floor with shuffleboard, pool table , darts and other games. I’d we inky had time.

Stayed here for a week with some friends while hiking on the Appalachian Trail. The location was perfect. The house was perfect. Rustic charm with modern amenities . The best screened porch! Erin was always super quick to respond to questions before and during our stay. A true gem to find.

We had a lovely, relaxing stay at the lake house. The interior felt welcoming and homey, and we enjoyed the peaceful setting of the lake house. There were nice views down to the lake, and we really liked the layout of the bedrooms which were separated nicely for privacy from each other, while being close enough for the kids. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of toiletries. The kids were delighted to climb the ladder to the loft and spent plenty of time up there. The kitchen was well stocked, with probably more pans and gadgets than we have at home. Appreciated the s'mores kit, which the kids toasted up. We enjoyed the outdoor fire, which had plenty of seating and a nice supply of wood. The highlight was definitely the time we spent on the lake. We got out in the pedal boat and kayaks. The kids enjoyed exploring a deserted island and watching some lake wildlife as we spent time on the water. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

I recently vacationed at Cozy cottage in Lake Hopatcong. The hosts John and David, were welcoming, cordial, and accommodating. Quick to respond to my questions or concern. They went above and beyond to make me feel at home with thoughtful amenities and a complimentary bottle of wine, nice touch. Cozy cottage clean and stylish with a well equipped kitchen. The setting is tranquil and scenic with multilayered sitting areas (dock, deck, fire pit) to view the lake. In the evening relaxing by the gas fire pit in the upper sitting area was peaceful and relaxing. Cozy cottage was a great getaway. Can’t wait to return.

The house is beautiful ... the view of the lake, surroundings, convenience in & out of the house are all plusses. We just went the two of us, but you could comfortable go with another couple or more. David is very attentive and incredibly nice. We'll always remember the house as a fun and important part of our wedding weekend on Lake Hopatcong!

Absolutely lovely lake house and we loved every minute and wished we could have stayed longer. Bob was great in providing instructions and information, and was very flexible. There is good parking for 3 cars, pictures and description is very accurate. You do have to walk down a path and steps to the house (as pictured), and the three main bedrooms are upstairs. The views are the lake are fantastic! And the covered porch on the back of the house looking out over the lake is just wonderful. This was a very special gathering of lifelong friends for a wedding celebration nearby and it was such a great place to stay to enjoy spending time together in a beautiful setting. The kitchen is exceedingly well stocked with everything needed to cook and prepare meals, great appliances and both a Keurig and a drip coffee maker (preferred) is provided. Wifi worked well. Bathrooms very clean. Lovely linens, bedding and towels provided. Bob was a wonderful host and this is a wonderful gem of a place.

My family and I were looking for a place to stay where you didn’t have to go anywhere. This was the perfect place. From the time we got there on Monday until we left on Friday…we went nowhere. The home is gorgeous with lots of amenities. The porch was perfect spot for coffee in the morning. The pond was perfect for our pups and our kids and grand babies to take boat rides. It was a vacation to get away, unplug and relax. We’ll be back for sure!

We enjoyed our long weekend at the lake house. Great views of the lake and the home is well equipped with lots of board games, TVs, a projector, great sound system, dart board, foosball and more. We were in the dead of the winter and can imagine how its even more fun in the summer when you can grab the boats and head out onto the lake.

My 12 year old son and I stayed here for 2 nights. It is exactly as advertised. My son enjoyed fishing and kayaking on the picturesque lake. The surroundings are scenic and tranquil. I enjoyed watching the gorgeous sunrises over the lake while drinking my espresso. We enjoyed the fire pit as the sun set and the stars came out. If you like nature and quiet as well as a clean house this place is ideal. I would come back here anytime.

We had a wonderful time at Cynthia's cabin. It was clean, well-decorated, and charming, with a beautiful view of the lake. We enjoyed walking around the area and visiting local spots. Cynthia was very responsive. Highly recommend!

Indian lake is holy ground. I’m a level 5 empath and energy worker. Ancient wisdom energy beings thrive wi th tallman state park behind the house and the fauna and healthy ecosystem speak for itself. In these three day visit we saw 1) 2 Pilated woodpecker’s 2) a family of 6 bears replete with a cub hugging a tree 3) a great grey heron with 7 foot wing span 4) a gaggle of giant crows and 5) a lone HUGE black bear > 600 lbs. if nature is your cup of tea Lionel’s your man. Thanks again we will be back!
