This house is a work of the finest art. Beautiful curiosities in every corner, lovely garden. Do yourself a favour and stay here. We loved buying some Karoo lamb and braaing it in the kitchen fire place. They really understood the venturi effect in the 1800s when it was built; the indoor fire, local produce and exceptional gas range are a cooks dream. Not to mention the local art and beautiful old architecture. 11/10.

The cottage presented exactly as advertised. I cannot think of a single item that was missing and for a foodie family it was a great place to be together. The venue was spotless and seemingly freshly equipped. It was not needed but I noticed a substantial amount of solar/battery power that was available. Certainly a good find.

What a Gem of a place. Will go back anytime again and recommend anyone to visit. You honestly feel close to heaven there, and Gerrit is a really kind soul. The only thing I think would be nice is to have a board game / cards there.

Views are absolutely stunning! So picturesque, peaceful and quiet. We had such a lovely stay, and wish we could’ve extended an extra 2-3 nights. Will definitely be back.
