Casa do Rio Alva is a very special place with private access to the river! Our country house is located in the village of Secarias in the heart of the nature of central Portugal, 4 km from the village of Arganil and 55 km from the city of Coimbra. Exploring the Alva River from our home is a unique experience, where the following stand out: avocets, bees, kingfishers, crows, swallows, foxes, field mice, frogs, toads and snakes, numerous fish such as bass, bogas and carp, but also trout and eels.

Cantinho nas Secarias is a local accommodation, next to the Alva River, and the natural and unique Cascalheira River Beach, surrounded by extraordinary beauty, where the sound of birds is the predominant melody. The house is divided into two totally independent parts, one of which is inhabited by the owner. It is an open space with beds, a living room and fireplace, a bathroom and kitchen. The exterior is large with a garden; barbecue; table and chairs; swing; small vegetable garden and garden.

Casa de Salreu is a single-story, single-family home with its own land of about 2,000 square meters (flanked by willows and a water line), a patio, 4 comfortably furnished suites, a living room and a fully equipped kitchen. Rehabilitated in the first half of 2020, it is the result of the reconstruction of a typical house in the region, where we sought to maintain, in addition to the volumetry, the personality and romantic aura of the space, with total respect for the natural surroundings.

We are 45 minutes from Serra da Estrela, surrounded by charming river beaches. Pedestrian, cycling, 4x4, small and large route trails. Canoeing and adventure sports.

Our house is on the same property, with two more guest rooms, a shared kitchen, bathroom, and a dry composting toilet in the garden. We provide a mosquito net in summer and an electric heater in winter.
