[Entire house | Japanese house | Summer 2025 open] Unoko 4-minute walk Designer inn Naoshima Toshima

Opened in August 2025. This is a private rental inn that has been completely renovated from the site of a Japanese-style barbershop that has been in the port town since the beginning of the Showa era. To preserve the cityscape, the exterior has been preserved and updated as a barbershop, and the interior has been completely renovated to make the most of the parts used. It is minimal, but we are particular about the details. We have finished the inn so that we would love to have people who like architecture, art, design, antiques, etc. stay here. We also have a kitchen, so it is perfect for long-term stays and for those who want to enjoy cooking with local ingredients. There is also a shower room with a large shower head and bench to help you relax after a long day. A short walk from Uno Station and Uno Port. (3-5 minutes) It is a good location with access to the ferry station to Naoshima, Shodoshima, Toshima, and Inujima, and trains to Okayama City and Kurashiki. There are also many delicious restaurants nearby, and you can enjoy the night. - No smoking in the facility. - All dishes are Japanese antiques. - Fully equipped with original nightwear and slippers - Amenity set and original pouch gift < Original chopsticks included >

Lani (mountain side) - a whole rental cottage near "Kii-Kabochaya" in Setouchi National Park

This is a rental cottage by the sea on Naoshima, a sacred place for art. There are two buildings, one on the sea side and one on the mountain side, and Lani is the building on the mountain side. Free parking is available on-site, which is rare in Naoshima. The building is a separate two-story building, and the first floor bedroom has 6 beds, and the second floor Japanese-style room can accommodate up to 2 futons, so it can accommodate 6 to 8 people. It is ideal for families and friends, as well as for student training camps and seminars, as it has a family-type kitchen and washing machine. It is a 3-minute walk from OHANA to Yellow Pumpkin, and a 2-minute walk from the nearest bus stop, making it an ideal base for sightseeing in Naoshima. Enjoy a relaxing time in Naoshima in a room made with plenty of wood by a local carpenter. We have also started a Naoshima sightseeing tour for Ohana guests. There are many places in Naoshima, such as the art museum, that require reservations in advance, and we hope to provide a more fulfilling Naoshima sightseeing experience for those who use the tour, such as arranging tickets, car pick-up and drop-off, and even Naoshima sightseeing by rental bicycle. Tour inquiries can be made by email

Sakura-sou/Naoshima Guest House Sakura-so, a 50-year-old house, whole house rental, 2-6 guests

I've updated the photos of the room. The bunk bed in the Western-style room has been removed and replaced with two single beds. The maximum number of guests has been changed to 6. If you already have a reservation for 7 or more people, you can stay with the same number of people without any changes. Naoshima has become a tourist destination not only for Japan but also for the whole world. What changes, what doesn't. Each blends naturally, and the air flows in a way that can only be experienced in Naoshima. You'll feel it even more by staying on Naoshima. Sakura-so opened in the summer of 2014. It is a guest house with a nostalgic Showa-era atmosphere. 5-minute walk from the center of Naoshima's Miyanoura. It is located in a very quiet place. There is a Japanese-style room with futons (up to 4 people) and a Western-style room with 2 single beds (2 people). You are renting the entire property. We welcome everyone from small groups to families. Updated June 26, 2024

Stay like a local at Nagi unoport, one group per day

This room is on the second floor of a two-story building. There is an entrance and shower room on the ground floor, and there is a separate entrance and a restaurant. We've carefully designed the fixtures and layout so that you can enjoy this facility at your leisure, as well as use it as a place to stay while traveling. In the dining room with an island kitchen, you can enjoy music with high-quality speakers. Enjoy the scent and feel of the rare pine flooring. For the bedroom area, we have thick futons instead of beds, also with small children in mind. In addition, the futon area is slightly elevated with tatami mats. One of the closest accommodations to Uno Station, it also has excellent access to outlying islands such as Naoshima. Convenience stores and popular restaurants are also close. English available.

Ensoh: Hideaway Portal to Naoshima & Art Islands

Ensoh strives to surround its inhabitants in naturalness and simplicity, ideals tied strongly to the Japanese wabi-sabi aesthetic. It is a creatively restored home surrounded by traditional garden and lush forest. While (supplied) electric-assisted bicycles are the best way to this ‘hideaway’ and from it to the Art Islands, it is hard to believe Ensoh is mere minutes from the local train station. It’s located in a village called Karato Oka. You’ll find the Teshima Museum and rice terraces within a short walking. MUJI BASE TESHIMA is located in Teshima, a small island in Kagawa Prefecture where rich nature and art color the entire island. Although it is a world-famous art sanctuary such as the Teshima Museum of Art, the nostalgic cityscape and the heartwarming daily lives of the islanders overlap well. In Teshima, a place where modern culture and island life are mixed, a new base has been created where you can spend "extraordinary, everyday life on the island".
