Cortijo Zambrana 5 km from Atlanterra and Zahara beaches

MarinaRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We enjoyed our stay at this exotic, refreshing cortijo. We were with 6 kids, they loved animal watching. We did not visit the farm, we are late risers, the employees had finished their work when we got out of bed. They were discreet and respectful of our privacy. We really appreciated the people we spoke with a little, we don't speak Spanish, it wasn't easy to chat, but they were patient and attentive. If we have the opportunity to come back to the area, we will return to this cortijo without hesitation.

AmelieRating, 5 stars27 months ago
We felt right at home with Larissa & Thomas! Surroundings are in a super nice location. The apartment is very nicely decorated and you have a wonderful view from every window. The terrace is amazing and offers enough space and a panoramic view of the mountains and sea. Tarifa and beaches can be reached in a few minutes by car. Always happy to come back!

Family Yurt, shared facilities, biodiversity pond

ManuRating, 5 stars6 months ago
my partner and I loved it, if you are looking for a place to disconnect your mind and clear you, this is the best place. There was a dog, her name was Misty, she gave us the good days the two days we were, waiting for us at the door and đŸ„č we missed her! Saira was very helpful and kind. Everything was very clean, we really liked the location, the decor, everything. The pond with frogs loved it too. The super comfortable bed. A 10 everything.

JoyaRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Absolutely beautiful and peaceful place, a real gem. So much to say because it’s really special. Perfect for a cosy, restful, writers retreat, checking out of busyness and into a slower agricultural based rural Moroccan community. There is a well outside the house always activity donkeys and cows which is gorgeous. Amazing sunsets and the house is beautiful with a fire inside for cosy evenings. Would love to come back again!

Ketama

AndreasRating, 5 stars4 months ago
I had the pleasure of staying with Mohammed in December, and it was an unforgettable experience. The farm's focus on ecological farming was truly inspiring, and I loved learning about the sustainable practices used in the day-to-day operations. Each day, I was treated to three delicious traditional dishes, each prepared with fresh, local ingredients that reflected the rich culinary heritage of the region. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with the soothing sounds of typical Rif music filling the air, enhancing the experience. Even in the winter, the heating was excellent, keeping the space cozy and comfortable. The area felt completely safe, and I highly recommend this stay for anyone looking to immerse themselves in both nature and culture.

Our stay was pleasant, Monty paid attention to us and made the stay as easy as possible. The environment is very nice, close to nearby towns and the beach but ideal for disconnecting in the mountains. Quite recommended.

Maison de rĂȘve a berwawa

ErikRating, 5 stars63 months ago
I liked the place so much, I booked it for an extra extended period. Everything was so peaceful and wonderful. Life is very slow in a very good way in the tiny village of Berwawa. Even though I stayed in the winter, I was plenty warm inside my bedroom with the heater on low. We had some nice rains while I was there and some very clear and sunny days. The rolling green hills looked just like a postcard. So picturesque with olive trees dotting the landscape. The locals continued to be super welcoming and I had no problems whatsoever. Note: The locals here don’t speak much of any English, but we had fun having deep conversations with the Google Translate app for instant spoken word translation. Power remained consistent as well as Maroc Telecom 4G connectivity. Note: Other carriers may have issues, but you’ll probably want Maroc Telecom anyhow since you’ll have the greatest coverage, country-wide. I came to Berwawa to get away from distractions and focus on working and writing music. It was so perfect there that I developed some great playing techniques far beyond my expectations! Mohammed was super accommodating and came to pick me up at short notice when my plans changed and I moved on to Fes. Now, sitting in my sweeping-panorama-view apartment inside the old Fes medina, I find myself missing the tranquility of Berwawa. I wish I could have stayed longer. Never once did I feel unsafe, and I had everything I needed from the local farming villagers or from the little store in-town. Even though I don’t have any specialized “farm lore” skills, I never felt inconvenienced by the simplicity of the accommodations and had no troubles with my daily routine whatsoever. I felt relieved to dial things back and simplify my life for a moment while I unwound in the serenity of it all. I just discovered that there’s taxi service which makes a round trip between Fes and Berwawa each day. The cost is 60MAD (about $6.50USD) per-seat, each way. A bargain since it take 2-3 hours each way. This alone makes Berwawa easily accessible for tourists wanting to get away from it all to enjoy the fresh air, clean water, and the wonderful produce from the bountiful Rif Mountain region. Here, there is no fear of getting ripped off by greedy touts looking to fleece you as you'll find in the tourist traps. This never occurred here. Berwawan's are an honest and honorable people in my opinion. Mohammed’s place has been an amazing experience. Truly the highlight of my entire Moroccan tour. Renting the entire œ acre citrus, olive and vegetable farm with the large adobe farmhouse proved to be not only a great deal for the money, but an untapped area where there are zero tourists, and local hospitality abounds. I’ll never forget the friendships I made there since you’ll be treated as family with a genuineness of heart that is such a rarity in the world today. Thank you again, Mohammed. You and your family will always hold a dear place in my heart and I hope to come again to Berwawa sooner than later!

Saddik's House

DanielRating, 5 stars25 months ago
We were travelling as a family with 2 little kids (aged 4 and 2) and the experience couldn't be more valuable for all of us. All members of the family treated us with amazing hospitality, making us feel part of their family for a couple of days, which was enhanced by visiting them during Ramadan, so that we could share all their celebrations. Our little boys had a lot of fun playing with the family's kids, they got to know all the animals at the property, and we went for a nice walk across the beautiful fields that surround the property, in the middle of the Rif mountains. You will probably have no cellphone cover and life conditions are basic, but if you are looking for an authentic rural experience in North Morocco, that's definitely what you are looking for, as it is very obvious the family is doing it guided by their desire to meet people and not to make business. Overall, and by far, this was the highlight of our 10 days trip across North Morocco.

Country house with personality in Algeciras, CĂĄdiz

DavidRating, 5 stars32 months ago
The place is exceptional (huge outdoor spaces with beautiful pool) and atypical (disco, large spaces in the house, decor full of history). The description is below reality. Fernando will welcome you warmly and will remain discreet and available during your stay, which is very nice. The house is old and will delight lovers of authenticity because perfectly opposite bnb made in ikea. Note no air conditioning but fans that can do. In short, we will return with pleasure in a few years, to see if the paella is still as good (and yes, there are even 4 sizes of paella available). Great stay less than 2 hours from Seville and at the gates of the natural park where walking or mountain biking are legion (more than 400 km of path). Very beautiful area without forgetting Tarifa 30 min away.

Wonderful Riad! 🏡 Held by a warm, welcoming and caring family including Amine who will welcome you and advise you on any activities or questions you would have to ask them. The small dishes concocted by the mother will fill you with their quality but also by the quantity, real feast! đŸ€€ At the end of the stay, we took a photo with the whole family to remember their people with a big heart. ❀ Really a great stay thanks to which we were able to discover Morocco and its culture a big thank you to the family for sharing all these good times with us! 🙏 If you hesitate then don't hesitate and book without a second thought! 😉
