Quiet and cosy stay in Coniston, it was perfect. Exactly what we needed for two people! Ideal location being a 5 minute walk into the village and 3 great pubs in a walking distance- would recommend all 3! Martin was very helpful with arrival instructions (make sure you follow the parking route to avoid some hairy hill starts!) and gave lots of recommendations if we didn’t fancy any walking. Having normally stayed in the Ullswater side of the Lakes it was great to explore a different area. Would recommend Rascal House to anymore wanting to switch off from the world and get walking int the great out doors.

The cottage was a fabulous base to explore both locally around Coniston and further afield. There are some good pubs within walking distance, but equally the kitchen was so well equipped, it was so easy to cook in the cottage. The fire was lovely in the evening and added a great cosy feel! The beds were super comfy and we all slept so well. Thank you for being a great host and for all the helpful arrival instructions.
