Nelson Coastal Barnstay - the Barn

Located in Tasman, between Mapua (10min drive) and Motueka (20 min). 30min drive to Kaiteriteri, gateway to the Abel Tasman National park, and the Great Taste Trail bike ride crosses the end of our drive. 10 minute walkway to the beach from the property. Lovely setting, ideal for a romantic getaway winter or summer, or for a family holiday. Kids will love our three alpaca, kune kune pig and chickens. Amazing views. Please note construction on a nearby property, please expect daytime noise.

Situated on the Waimea Estuary, Roger and Deirdre have created a peaceful space on 6 acres, next to an estuary walkway and park. Research Orchard Road is off SH60, half way between Richmond and Mapua. Rabbit Island and local cycleways are just a few minutes drive away, and wineries, restaurants and cafes are within a 10 minute drive. Your private entrance is completely flat with no stairs or steps. If you are on a working holiday there is a large desk with unlimited wifi and mobile coverage.

This is a newly renovated bungalow cottage - downstairs flat. Bright, sunny, clean, wooden floors & sliding glass doors onto a large deck. The upstairs tenants are long term, quiet & the way the flats are laid out, there is no noise transfer between them. It is in an inner city suburb surrounded by local Nelson families - so please expect the odd neighbourhood noise or visit from a passing cat. The owners live on the adjacent property & very friendly & engaging.
