Artepalermo is a Bed and Breakfast apartment in the heart of the historic centre of Palermo, on the top floor of an old, renovated house, without elevator and surrounded by lanes, churches, markets, washing, squares and terraces. You will live in the house of an artist and you can visit her studio. Your room is more than 25 square metres, it has a double and a single bed, a sofa, a bureau and a balcony. There is a shared sitting room, a shared dining room, a roof terrace, another atmospheric little terrace and a kitchen where you can also cook. You will have a private bathroom, but it is not in the room itself. The furniture and the style of the apartment are basic with an artistic touch. There is free quick unlimited internet( fibre). As we are really in the heart of the centre you can walk within a few minutes to the food markets, supermarkets, flea markets, shops, restaurants, musea, port and parcs. it is less than 5 minutes walking to the sea! The centrale train station is at 10 minutes walking. In case you arrive by car (but you don't need it in Palermo) : you are not allowed to go into the historic centre without a special pass ( the ZTL), but you can park on the Foro Italico (near Porta Felice is the nearest). If somebody asks you money, give him maximum 1 or 2 euros. We are a Dutch woman, a Tunisian man and a Sicilian dog We speak English, Italian, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch and Arabic.

The B&B is located at the foot of Monte Pellegrino and just 50 meters from the cliffs of Addaura. The beautiful beach of Mondello (called one of the most beautiful beaches in the Mediterranean), its ancient seaside village and the nature reserve of Capogallo are within walking distance. In about half an hour to the historic center of Palermo you can admire the monuments, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Norman, Baroque, Liberty style and explore the colorful popular markets and enjoy the exquisite Sicilian cuisine.

The room with private bathroom is located inside an elegant, recently renovated apartment with a separate entrance. Inside the room you will find everything you need for breakfast. The room is equipped with all amenities, a balcony facing the main facade, Wi-Fi, a 32-inch LED TV, a minibar, a coffee machine with capsules, an electric kettle, a bed with slats and a memory mattress and pillows, and a large shower. The room is completely independent from the rest of the apartment.

At 45 km you can reach the beautiful salt flats of Marsala and 42 km from the city of Erice. In addition, Palermo and Trapani airports are about 35 km away. Convenient location to visit the area.

I live in the most lively and popular part of the historical centre of Palermo, exactly at the beginning of the famous Ballartò Market, in a large flat with a fumoir with oriental decorations from the early decades of the 20th century. It is not a B&B, nor a hotel, it is a real house where I live and where I welcome my guests like old friends with whom I share a love for art, travel and the diversity of cultures.
