Kid-friendly holiday rentals in The Solent

James was good at communicating, and left clear instructions for everything. He also met us on arrival. The bungalow was as per the description and photos (please note that bed 3-twin room has drawer clothes storage but no hanging space). It's clean, light and airy. The bungalow was in a quiet location and yet close to amenities and a short walk to the beach. We had 3 cars between us and were easily able to fit them on the driveway. We would happily return!" From the communication, to the quality of the accommodation & amenities to the welcoming touches with Prosecco & snacks, your thoughtfulness just made our holiday perfect!! The decor was bright, modern & beautiful; the house and furniture was spotless and the house had everything you would need for a weekend getaway. We were 9 people and a dog and there was ample room for everyone. We couldn’t be happier. The only issue is that since this was our first Airbnb adventure, we’ve now got our bar set too high 😊 Thanks once again for allowing us a fabulous few days in Bournemouth in your beautiful house.

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Anna’s place with our 6 month old and 4 year old children. The house was spacious, stylish and well equipped. My 4 year old loved playing with the duplo, dolls house, trampoline, football and books. It made the world of difference to have her entertained. There are lots of nice coffee places and restaurants nearby and, of course, the beautiful Southbourne beach which we visited every day. We would love to go back and highly recommend to other families.

I chose this house for our 3 generation family group because the are Reviews seemed so good and the photos were enticing. It lived up to expectations! It is a really lovely, spacious house for 10. Very well furnished and v comfy beds. Everything looked clean and fresh. The kitchen / dining area is especially good and well thought out. The outside playroom with children’s games and extra toys was a real bonus. Our children loved playing in the garden. The area is lovely and Birdham quiet. We had a great afternoon on the amazing beach at West Wittering. We all said it would be lovely to return again.

We were a party of 4 adults who stayed for 1 night before our cruise from Southampton. Accommodation was in a quiet residential area & had parking right outside the property. Property was well equipped & spotlessly clean & ideal for what we needed.

This house is lovely and was perfect for a short stay for us 4 adults. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped and homely. An easy walk into the centre of town made for a very pleasant evening stroll along the canal.

We all had a really wonderful time at Jon's house. 8 adults, 4 kids, aged 3 to 92! There was plenty of space for all of us and the property felt like home, only bigger! It is a warm, light ,spacious house with conservatory and large garden and lovely views. It has everything you need and more. Big dining table so all of us could eat together. 1 Great Gran aged 92 played the piano while the other sat in conservatory watching kids play outside. The grandkids loved the well stocked play room and there were lots of board games, books and DVD's and a fantastic games room at the bottom of the garden which we all enjoyed. Plenty to do to keep all the family occupied if the weather isn't great. The extensive grounds proved to be a bonus for our Easter egg hunt too.. We had a minor issue with a pop up plug that didn't pop up, but as soon as I informed Jon he got a plumber round to resolve the problem. No one wanted to go home. 2nd visit for some of us, and it won't be the last. Thankyou

The house was immaculately clean. All the equipment and furnishings were really well looked after and of good quality. Lovely bedding etc. There was plenty of ‘nice to haves’ such as lots of games, water sports equipment and bits and bobs in the kitchen. Would recommend as a base for a large family or two medium sized families away together. We were a group of 12 women celebrating and we all had comfortable accommodation. The garden was really peaceful and pleasant - we had our lunch one day on the patio. It’s a great location for very easy access to the beach and some lovely walks.

If you are looking for a great air bnb in southhampton then this is the place. Marc was always quick to respond. The view of the river from the living room and balcony was spectacular. I would highly recommend and will stay again when in southhampton.

This is as our second time staying at Elizabeth’s place (first time in the flat upstairs which has 3 bedrooms). It is very close to where our son and family live, which is great and has everything we needed to have our 2 granddaughters over for a couple of sleepovers. They had a lovely time and enjoyed playing on the trampoline and swings in the garden. The flat itself is beautifully clean and well kitted out. Would definitely stay again. Thanks Liz.

Enjoyed staying here and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Well equipped high quality kitchen, 2 floor apartment which is nice. Great private parking, Waitrose or M&S across the road, lovely pubs and shops on your doorstep.

This is a lovely and very comfortable apartment right on the sea. It was equipped with everything we needed for an excellent stay. It was sparkling clean too!

Really great value, finished to a good standard and very clean, had everything we needed for a base for the long weekend with two small children and a small dog. Coms were really quick and Amanda was very friendly and accommodating. Has a great parking space and really close to the beach and southbourne. Thanks for our stay

We really enjoyed our brief stay at Tara's property. It was lovely and clean throughout and had a lovely airy feel. It is in a peaceful area within walking distance of the beach and local restaurants. We would certainly stay again

Stephen and Annette have a lovely home, we enjoyed our stay there over the Easter long weekend. The vibes were really cosy and they were generous with providing some snacks and breakfast items. Stephen even came over to help us figure out heating settings and was really friendly! The area was lovely and peaceful, with a big supermarket about 10-15 min walk away and a cosy cafe for breakfast just down the road. We were also able to get to Bournemouth town centre very easily with a 10-min drive and explored some great stretches of coast quite easily! We really loved our stay and would love to visit again :)

Wonderful place - clean, well-located and characterful. Hosts were helpful - and provided additional support in accommodating our toddler.

Exactly as described and as shown on the photos! Super convenient and cosy and the hosts were really welcoming. I felt at home instantly. The location is perfect, everything is so close, there’s the train and bus stations, restaurants, shops and more. I a 100% recommend staying there 😊!

Absolutely amazing stay at Samantha's place! Communication was excellent from start to finish. The flat is truly beautiful - the photos don't do justice to how spacious and open the main rooms actually are. The location couldn't be better - just a 5 minute walk to the beach and a short drive to the New Forest. We were able to explore so many beautiful sights all within easy reach. The beds were very comfortable and all appliances were new and worked perfectly. We hope to return again soon!

Lovely apartment in a very good location in Southsea. The place was very well-kept, comms were very good, and having our own parking was really handy. Jane and the team were also really responsive, helping us to sort a couple of minor issues very quickly. Would definitely recommend

Beautifully presented flat, comfortable, clean and very well kitted out with everything you would need. Lovely location near the beach in Southborne. The host was very responsive through the booking and check in. Highly recommend.
