We very much enjoyed out stay at Lundarbrekka. The main goal of our trip was to go whale watching in Húsavík (highly recommended) and to see some of the sites innthe area, Mývatn, Dimmuborgir, Dettifoss, Goðafoss, Ásbyrgi and more. Lundabrekka was the perfect place to get back to after a long day out, where we could relax in a peacful setting and enjoy sheep watching (almost as fun as the whale watching) from the living room and bedroom windows. The place was was clean, very inviting and equiped with everything you need for a holiday in the north of Iceland.

We spent a wonderful time here with lots of trips to the surrounding area and further afield. The cottage is very nice and conveniently located and offers everything you need and has an extra bonus with the hot pots. The management of the cottage complex leaves nothing to be desired. Thank you very much for the accommodation and the surprising attention at the end of our stay.

We had a very nice vacation thanks in part to this beautiful accommodation. It is a little remote from Akureyri; which can also be seen clearly on the map. But with a rental car you can be in the city center within 10 minutes and you can go anywhere. We would definitely recommend this nice place to others!

Our stay here was very comfortable. This was the best equipped of all the kitchens and apartment in general of all the bnb’s we stayed at. Warm and cosy with the underfloor heating. Very easy to find just on the road 85. Highly recommend. Cute cheeky puppies too 🥰

This little cottage was one of the highlights of our trip in Iceland! It was so warm and cozy and included anything that you might need. The location is amazing and as we visited during March, the lake was frozen and the surroundings were full of snow! We really felt like home there and wish that we can visit one more time in the future.

we stayed one night, but it felt like we were at home, huge room, equipped kitchen and at our disposal, kind and helpful host. He welcomed us warmly and provided us with the two warm natural thermal pools. finally gave us directions on when to see the aurora

Our stay with Sabine was wonderful. We stayed here two nights and enjoyed the peaceful quiet. Her home is exceptionally clean and comfortable. She has the most well equipped kitchen of any place we stayed in Iceland. Sabine was also helpful in giving us recommendations. This home is well located as a break along the Ring Road and an easy drive to the Mývatn area. Highly recommend!

The lake and a supermarket were just a 3-minute walk away, making morning walks especially enjoyable. We truly appreciated the kindness and comfort during our stay.
