Best short hike in the area. Be sure to go all the way back to the box canyon.

Easy daytime hike. Make sure you get all the way into the canyon - to the end of the trail. It’s a respite from the heat and you might be rewarded with a small stream. Eat your lunch here in the shade of the granite.

Pretty flat hike. But you have nowhere to hide from the sun so bring plenty of water. The entrance gets locked off for the evenings, so be sure to pay attention to closing times.
