What a just perfect location. Outstanding views from the living room windows. This was helped by the great idea of having the living area UPSTAIRS. The bedrooms being on the entrance level. Despite being right next to one of the three village pubs, it was a peaceful place to chill outside on the wooden bench seat next to the door. Having just enjoyed a nice pub meal. Just up the street is a very well serviced bus stop. We gladly utilized the frequent service to and from the gorgeous town of Keswick. No need for hunting around for expensive car parking and being able to enjoy a pint in one of nice public houses after a walk around the town and it's market. The hosts were right on hand and a most helpful friendly couple. Highly recommended by us. Regrettably, should have stayed a couple of days longer.

Eddie & Lisa’s place was amazing and most definitely exceeded our expectations. The views from the balcony are on a whole new level. Our hosts thought of everything and the place was super clean. We will be booking Somercotes again in the near future. Thanks again Craig & Hannah

The location is unbeatable - near Kendall with stunning views and easy access to hiking trails, local shops, and cozy pubs. The property itself is well-equipped with everything you need. It’s the perfect place for relaxing after a day of exploring. The host was responsive and provided great local tips. Highly recommend for anyone looking to soak in the beauty of the Lakes!

A perfect base for walks around Keswick including Catbells and Skiddaw from the front door. Warm porch great for boots and coats. 20mins walk to Keswick, 5 min drive. House immaculate and cosy, and immediately felt at home with the lovely welcome basket. Thank you, Martin, we’ve really enjoyed our stay.
