Cottage and beach sauna in Päijänne

A lovely cottage on the shore of Lake Päijänne offers peace and quiet in nature and comfort for up to 8 people. The premises consist of the main building, a new barn building and a lakeside sauna. Toilet and running water are available in the main building. The renovated wooden sauna and gently sloping beach are suitable for families. A barbecue, a masonry oven, an electric smoker, a rowing boat and fishing gear complete the facilities. The main cottage, built in the 1960s, has been cold in winter, so the traditional cottage scent and atmosphere are part of the experience.

A bright and tidy two-room apartment with a sauna on the shore of Lake Jyväsjärvi. The house, completed in 2019, is in the Rantaraita housing fair area. The spacious glazed balcony opens up to an unobstructed lake view towards the city center. Swimming beach. Private parking space next to the downstairs door. The area has beautiful and diverse hiking trails and a disc golf course. The apartment is fully equipped (extensive tableware, appliances, sleeping arrangements for four people, 65" smart TV with streaming services, air heat pump, hanging chair, etc.).

Sauna cabin in Toivakka

A sauna cabin for 1-4 people in the yard of a detached house, about 1 km from the centre of Toivakka, on the shore of a lake. There is a sofa bed downstairs and a low loft with mattresses upstairs. Almost vertical stairs to the loft. Electric underfloor heating. After using the sauna, it can be hot to sleep in the loft. The amenities of a detached house, such as drinking water and an indoor toilet. Small fridge, air fryer and microwave. Blackout curtains, coffee maker and kettle. Jetty, barbecue, terrace, canoe and SUP board available for use.

Koskenrannan Helmi

A 4-person sauna cottage completed in 2024 along a magnificent rapid. The calming rapids scenery guarantees a relaxing visit to Koskenrannan Helmi. The cottage is well suited for relaxation, fishing or even boating. In the large sauna of the cottage you can admire the flowing water, refreshment is easy in the always open rapids or in the outdoor hot tub. Warmly welcome to Halssila, Jyväskylä, a distinctive and idyllic residential area! Maple blossom is a hundred-year-old adorable pink little house in our yard. In summer, through the windows, you can see lush greenery and the branches of the yard maple, while in winter, the nearby Lake Jyväsjärvi glistens on the horizon. As a guest, you can enjoy peace and quiet in the shelter of a small house (40m²). From the motorway, you can reach our property by car in a few minutes; we are 3.5 km from Jyväskylä town centre.

Sunset lakefront old-growth forest guesthouse

This guesthouse was newly-built in 2024 with comfortable amenities ( e.g indoor WC and shower). It is located in the middle of old-growth forests, in a private bay & a calm lake with sunset view. A place, is meant to “adopt the pace of nature”, offers real retreat from hectic life. The rate includes use of hot tub, SUP board, and rowing boat (May to October). Two terraces for your own use: one with roof cover for BBQ and summer kitchen; the second is for hot tub, fireplace, hammock and fishing.

Fairy tales on the forest lake

A typical Finnish cottage (55.8 sq.m) was built in 1972 and completely renovated in 2014, preserving the authentic atmosphere. The nearest shop or gas station is 25 kilometers away. We live behind the forest 200 meters from the cottage all year round. The location of the cottage is unique in that, on the one hand, you feel complete freedom and privacy, on the other hand, we are always around and ready to help and communicate if you wish. Our plot and garden are always open to our guests.

This house on the island of Muuratsalo is a great location to relax and enjoy lake Päijänne or to explore this area of outstanding natural beauty and cultural heritage. Muuratsalo has several nature trails through the forest, with ice age boulders scattered over the hills. Nearby cultural features include Alvar Aalto's experimental house and the town hall on the nearby island of Säynätsalo. Muuratsalo is well connected with the city of Jyväskylä with activities and services all year round.

This extremely unique 200-year old log house offers you an outstanding holiday. The property locates only 15 minutes by car from Jyväskylä. The cottage is on the lower part of the property by a private beach. You can relax by the fireplace, go to sauna or go swimming into the lake. There is a central heating and an additional fireplace, indoor toilet, shower and sauna. Drinking water from tap. During summer you can relax on hammock or by the outdoor fireplace. Bathing/hot tub available.

Pihakammari (uninhabitable)

Pihakammari (the whole is one room of 16 m2) is located close to Alvar Aalto's home and a few of his properties. The sofa bed in the bedroom is 140 cm wide. The kitchen area in the room is equipped with dishes, a coffee maker, a kettle, a microwave, a hob and a fridge. Breakfast supplies are for you, please. A traditional Finnish yard sauna can be rented in the summer, with swimming in the lake. There is no WiFi in the chamber. The unit is a compact one-room apartment of 16 m2.
