Guests come to hike the Appalachian trail, whitewater raft the Nantahala River, and to just rest in an amazingly cozy & romantic mountain cabin with a hot tub and view of a lifetime.

Our private 20’x20’ boat dock with 2 kayaks is only 1/4 mile from the cabin and is the perfect spot to spend long, lazy (or active!) lake days! Mateo 39A at Nantahala Weddings - pets allowed

Pets allowed. $75 pet fee per pet. $150 penalty if you fail to indicate number of pets via "Guests" drop-down menu when you book. The Mateos are 4 small bungalows with eye-popping views of Lake Nantahala and the Smoky Mountains through an 8-foot sliding glass door. Each Mateo has a queen size bed, private bath, ac/heat, and a kitchenette with a Keurig coffeemaker, refrigerator with freezer, air fryer, microwave, tableware, and glassware for two. The Mateos are not handicap-accessible.

Enjoy waking up in the morning and heading down to our dock to read and enjoy the majestic mountains and peaceful lake. Our deck is a perfect place to enjoy at sunset and to have a drink with family and friends. The porch swing is a great place to spend a rainy afternoon. It is a small rustic cabin of 1150 square feet but it can sleep up to 8.

The Spring Ridge Luxury Yurt is perfect for a Glamping getaway. With two bedrooms and a full bath, this yurt sleeps 4 comfortably. The yurt features central air conditioning and heat, washer and dryer and an in-room safe is provided as well.

An SUV with 4WD is strongly recommended for winter conditions. We unfortunately cannot accommodate pets, and maximum occupancy is 2 people.
