Holiday rentals with a kayak in Tornado Alley

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this lake house! From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The house was well-equipped with everything we could possibly need, making our time there so relaxing and stress-free. Our kids had an amazing time fishing right off the dock and kayaking on the beautiful lake — they couldn’t get enough of it! The property was peaceful, clean, and beautifully maintained. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better getaway. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a family-friendly retreat in a stunning setting!

the place was very clean. regardless of the proximity of other neighbors it was quiet and peaceful. the amenities were very nice for a large group with kids. all and all I highly recommend this place.

If your looking for a peaceful stay lakefront,,,, look no more. Great location right on the water facing the sun rise in the mornings and a peaceful place for an evening bevi or relax in one of the many seating areas on deck or dock. Fantastic place! Stayed here with a group of four couples + one of their infants and we all had a great time with all the many games and activities to do. The host truly seems to have thought of every possible thing a group would need to make the most of their stay (s’mores station, coffee bar, basic pantry items, kitchen fully stocked with plenty of pots, pans, and servingware, abundance of blankets and towels, etc.). Very clean as well, and the host was proactive, friendly, and attentive. Would definitely recommend!

My wife and I along with another couple were thoroughly satisfied with!!! We would return! Other than going out for breakfast at the quaint and charming The Roost” in Eustace we did all our meals on the grill and/or kitchen. TV worked great! Everything was as good or even exceeded our expectations! Highly recommend this place for quite relaxing.

I want to say this is a very comfortable, humble, and welcoming home. I felt very at ease with everything there and was completely comfortable the entire time. I could have not been happier with what we got from it. Our little family got to relax, play outside, sit by the fire the second night (Oklahoma acted like it was going to blow away Friday!) it's definitely a must stay again and the way they supply so much real household items to use is amazing as well! makes it to where you can pack light and have more room in your vehicle during vacation which is a huge plus in a family of 4! thank you and God bless you guys!

Great place to stay! Beautiful view and updated house plenty of room to spread out! 3 bathrooms a bonus. Lots of steps down to the water and lots of rules and things to do to check out but overall a wonderful place to stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our time spent on the river. We liked that is was off the beaten path and we truly felt like we got away for the hustle and bustle of the city. It’s a beautiful location and so peaceful just being in nature. Highly recommend.

This place was WONDERFUL! My boyfriend and I came for the weekend and we just loved everything about the stay. We fished, watched the sunset, we did our intimate gender reveal by the lake and also just walked around and enjoyed the nature. We are most definitely going to come back asap. Also thank you to Kelley the Host she was the sweetest person ever and very welcoming! 😊

The Lazy River cabin was a perfect little getaway for my daughter and I. Pros: It was spotless, comfortable, quiet, peaceful, kayaking was fun, fire pit was great, everything was exactly as described. The location was perfect- secluded, but still very close to Waco and all it has to offer. Cons: No smart TV and the dish didn’t work, the ladder to get upstairs would be difficult for older people and impossible for someone with physical limitations.

Tina is a very friendly host, the place is quiet with beautiful surroundings, a great experience and unforgettable memories with the family, just 10 minutes from the supermarket and downtown, we will definitely be back soon! 🥰

We loved it nice and quiet. We enjoyed the lakefront and hot tub. But especially being able to fish and get on the water and enjoy the boat.

Mara and Jerry were FANTASTIC hosts! I meet them in person and they could not have been more friendly. Their house is even better than the photos. It has been completely redone inside and was even better than expected! If you are able to book this place in the warmer weather and enjoy the lake and outside, DO IT! Great place to stay. Lots of things for a dog to do and keep busy. The room is clean. The only thing I wish it had more cooking capability.

We enjoyed our weekend camping trip. The cabin had everything we needed and the property remains a highlight that our group looks forward to visiting each year!

We've stayed in this cabin many times and we love it! Peaceful setting. Even though the lake was down alot, we were able to take the kayaks out and we caught lots of fish every day! This is our favorite place to get away!

I've stayed at all different types of Airbnb's... villas, condos, houses, cabins, you name it, I've stayed at 3. I've never seen a cleaner place. Ever. As we were walking through, I commented that it felt like my mom came through and cleaned and made sure we had everything we needed. lol They thought of things most of us wouldn't. Gabe also had the quickest response time out of any host I've worked with. I'm also very grateful that other renters have been so respectful of this gorgeous property and hope they continue to do so. We would love to stay here again! I actually wish Gabe and Amber had other properties! You don't get this type of service anywhere else. We visited early April '25 and happy to report the water at the lake is super clean and would be great for swimming. Thanks for hosting us, guys! See ya'll again real soon! I highly recommend staying at this cabin if you need a weekend away from living in the city. There isn’t wifi, so the limited use of electronics was perfect to disconnect. The cabin is surrounded by trees and forest. The location was very private, but there were other houses nearby, so you don’t feel completely isolated. The space inside is fantastic. The living area and kitchen were spacious and comfortable. The upstairs area was clean and cozy. My favorite part of this space was the second floor balcony. We sat outside most of the stay because the weather was soooo beautiful. There isn’t a covering on the balcony (don’t need one, really), but there is a covered porch on the first floor, in case it rains. There was A/C that worked well and kept the space cool. This is place i’ve already recommended to my friends and family. I will definitely be staying here again! The ONE thing i’ll warn other travelers about is the tap water…you would be wise to bring your own water! 10/10 listing!
