La Magara is an old house built at the end of the 18th century. It is located on the highest point of Civita, a small village of Arbresh origin, at the entrance of the Pollino National Park. La Magara consists of 4 spacious rooms equipped with all comforts. Warm and cozy lights, panoramic views, poor materials and rivers that refer to the historical past of domestic environments. Each room has retained its characteristics and each has an outlet in a different street. La Magara offers an exclusive experience of history and costume: from food to colors, from silences to the magical atmospheres that the environments offer. Breakfast is the ultimate expression of local culture. Homemade jams and sweets, freshly picked local fruit in the family garden give good morning. The Casa sul Porto was born from the love of its owners for Maratea, a Lucanian town considered the pearl of the Tyrrhenian, a very green amphitheater that has the sea as its stage. It is located a few meters from the tourist port of Maratea, the village where the residence is located is immersed in a network of stairs, arches and narrow passages. On one side it is surrounded by greenery, on the other it has a magnificent view of the Christ. The house is very bright and each apartment has at least one view of the sea.

Nowdays only 200 people live here. My father renovated the ancient family house: a two floor old Stone house with a gorgeous view on the Calabrian Sea. It's perfect for a couple who is discovering the old tradition of Calabria. Important: The only way to get to our house in Pietrapaola is by car. No public transport or taxi
