The environment is fantastic, full of nature but with all amenities. Hosts can't be nicer. Swimming pool fenced and game room, great for small and big kids. We'll be back.

Jorge’s beautifully restored mill house by the river was perfect for our two families (five boys, two dogs). The old molinero blends historic charm with modern comforts; underfloor heating, smart thermostats, so you enjoy nature and luxury. Bedrooms vary but are all spacious with designer bathrooms, including one with a jacuzzi. Shared spaces are ideal for family time, with a big wooden table and stunning views of the waterfall. A unique, special place! I especially loved the fireplaces in both houses, adding warmth and charm in the evenings. Down by the river, the little house, terraced deck, and outdoor jacuzzi were pure fun - a generous touch from the host, truly worth it! And the Valle del Jerte was just wonderful; we enjoyed two beautiful walks between rain showers. Thank you, Jorge, and special thanks to Bianca for the warm welcome. Hasta la próxima!

The exceptional house and Paco de 10. In addition to the cleanliness and amenities of the house. It was tailored to our check-in time. Paco's welcome details for exceptional dinner and breakfast. The recommendations he gave us to visit the village would highlight the castle and the original cemetery. Our stay coincided with the Montanchez carnival that is really curious. She also showed us where to park in Cáceres and it came to us wonderfully.

In general, everything is good. The house is spacious, heated and has a very nice patio. It has a garage for two cars, which seems to have to book in advance (we didn't know it). And you have to book it because, as we were told, the plants of the house are independent and can be rented separately to different families, being therefore some of the shared spaces (the backyard, the garage, the porch...). This surprised us because in booking we understood that we were renting the whole house for us. On the days we were there was no one else in the house, but it would be helpful to clarify with the owner before booking. Otherwise, we were comfortable in the house and had no issues.

Chemari was a 10-star host. Ready to help us at all times with whatever we needed. We had a problem with the sauna and he immediately came up to assist us and solve it. He also left us several nice touches such as a bottle of wine, coffee and juices. The loft is just as seen in the photos, but even upon arrival, it's even better than what's shown in those photos. Everything is very new, very well cared for and very tastefully decorated. The fireplace seen from the bed is another 10. In addition, he recommended routes or places to go in the area and make the most of our stay. We're coming back with our batteries recharged, as both the house and the area help with that. Totally recommended. If the occasion arises, we'll be back.

Clean house, well organized and equipped with all the necessary utensils to spend the stay. The barbecue area is great and has a kitchen next door, which is a plus. The area is very quiet and secluded. The hosts Tere and Daniel welcomed us and were attentive at all times.

Comfort, cleanliness, tranquility and above all an ideal environment to disconnect from the world. Everything was very clean and there was no shortage of details.

A lovely chalet, clean and with modern amenities. We particularly liked the log burning fire, which we used as it was cold outside in the evening. A great location at the top of the village, which itself is nestled on the hillside. Our dog loved the fenced-in outside space connected to the villa and we all enjoyed the nearby scenery and ability to walk straight into the hills. One point worth mentioning is that the streets in the town leading up to the villa are narrow. It was fine for us because we were in a car, but it would be more difficult if visitors were travelling in a larger vehicle such as a caravan.

From the post-card perfect town of Candeleda with its medieval church and flower-lined lanes, you head up a steep road, winding above the Gorge of Santa Maria, with its rushing water and natural pools, looking over the jagged Sierra de Gredos mountains. Tucked in a deep thicket of pine trees, next to an olive grove, is a house. Carmela and Jacobo's house. It looks quant, all brick red stucco and wood-timbered frames... but it is not just any house. It is a magic house. You enter into a world of calm and serenity. The entire house is cool - go ahead, take off your shoes, feel the cool terracotta slabs beneath your feet. This is thanks to the technological wonder of Aerothermia - a cooling/heating system that runs under the floors and keeps the whole house an even temperature - it was a glorious drench of cool during the searing days of August. There are two small bedrooms, each with two beds and a grand window looking out over the valley, the village of Candeleda and the mountains below. The master bedroom is a refuge with a large bed, comfy and welcoming, a master bath with two sinks and a double shower, and a vast jacuzzi that was out of order during our stay - but it was too hot for jacuzzis anyway. The best part of the bedroom is the vast window over the bed looking into an ancient olive grove, like a painting, but not still life, real life. Be sure to keep those blinds open. There is another small bath, and then the huge kitchen / living room. Every wall is a window. There's a pine forest out the kitchen, a thick garden of flowers and trees from one side of the living room, and then the massive wall-sized windows overlooking the valley. Enjoy the view from two cozy-fat sofas, with no TV to disturb you. Where one might be is a fireplace which should be glorious in winter. Kitchen is fully stocked with whatever you need, living room as lots of lamps, a big table for dining, a desk for working, and a rocking chair by the window that my youngest son claimed for his own. Head out the kitchen and follow the stone path to a clearing in the woods, the bosque. This is where you hang your clothes while surrounded by the hum of birds, the rustle of something in the woods, the breeze off the valley below. If you have to do laundry, this is the way to do it. And if you don't want to, the wonderful Bea can be hired to help you out. There is also a stone table, perfect for morning coffee. Back in the house, the best part awaits - the terrace, the size of a tennis court, overlooking Candeleda to the left, the valley in front, and the Gredos mountains to the left. Sunsets are a dizzying palette of peach and pink, a swash of purple, then the sky falls and night rises. With it a million stars, every star, Saturn and Jupiter too. This is where you'll want to spend your nights, every night. But then it is day and the heat rises like a furnace, so head out the front door, follow the gray-brick road, winding down to the swimming pool. Surrounded by lemon and orange trees, the pool is deep enough for cannon balls, placid enough for floating. There are several lounge chairs and the best place for them is tucked under the grove of trees - who needs an umbrella? What else do you need to need to know? Well, this magic casa has 3 other rentals on its property - two small apartments under the giant terrace, and a little bungalow down by the road. So, you'll find people about, at the pool, on the paths, this is not isolation. And speaking of, you are just a 8 minute walk downhill to the lively little village of Candeleda and its natural swimming pools (Carreras and Palomas), many restaurants (don't miss La Barranca and Casa Pepe) and lively Plaza Castillo. But what goes down must go up, and it is a very steep climb up. I'm tough, the only person in the world who loves burpees, and that climb nearly killed me under the sun. At dusk it was fine, as long as the sun wasn't slicing into my back, it was okay. But be aware of it if you plan on coming here without a car. BUT, climbing is all a part of Candeleda. There are numerous hiking routes all over the region, one of the best, Puerto de Candeleda, goes right past the magic house. So, bring your hiking shoes. Some other things, I read other reviews here about the heat and the bugs. Well, the aerothermia solved the heat problem and there are sturdy mosquito nets over every window. Water comes fresh from the mountain via a well, and it did run out a few times, usually late at night, and we were prepared as we had filled up plastic jugs from the fountain down at the entrance to the pueblo. Overall, I would love to go back every weekend, every holiday, every summer... but for now, my family and I have our memories of our magic house in the woods, high above Candeleda. The house is located in a very picturesque place overlooking meadows and hills, with beautiful nature all around. We arrived very late but the host was always available online and helped us check in quickly. It was nice that they left us breakfast.

We were at home, Pedro and Tere were very attentive and friendly. the house is on a spectacular site and has everything we need.

Unfortunately the stay was very short,we would have loved to enjoy it more ,the house was very cozy. With a lot of detail The attention and location of the village was great. Thank you.

Wonderful home and host. For those who seek tranquility and spend a few days in the countryside but close to towns to visit, it has the perfect location. The house is equipped as if you were in yours, we don't miss anything. We enjoyed our getaway days so much.

The house is very spacious, the phenomenal rooms with their renovated bathrooms and very comfortable beds. The heating and fireplaces are great. The only thing that could be improved would be the gas stove, the gas oven is old and we couldn't cook what we wanted , and there are no dishwasher and there were 16 of us. Everything else I say is very good.
