Heritage & Tales: Sihna

"Sihna" is inspired by the custom of the celebration of the Sichna that takes place in Litochoro on the day of the Epiphany. It has its roots in Byzantium and continues to this day. Sihna are tall poles with a silver or gold cross on top, bearing colorful flags. These are tributes of guilds and seafaring families, which participate with a specified ritual in the sanctification of the waters in Litochoro. Το σπίτι βρίσκεται στην παλιά πόλη των Τρικάλων το "Βαρουσι". Μόλις 5’ με τα πόδια από το κέντρο. Η ησυχία και η αίσθηση ότι βρίσκεσαι σε χωριό το διακρίνει. Μια γραφική, όμορφη, ζεστή γειτονιά από άλλη εποχή, ακριβώς κάτω από το κάστρο, δίπλα στον λόφο του προφήτη Ηλία, περικυκλωμένο από εκκλησίες.
