You can walk 5 minutes to Yushima Tenmangu, a famous plum blossom spot, 10 minutes to Ueno Park, a famous cherry blossom and art museum, and 15 minutes to Ueno's shopping district. On the other hand, the area around the guest house is a residential area, not a tourist destination.Even though it is in the city center, the surroundings are quiet at night, and you can rest well.
