Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Union County

we have stayed at many airbnbs and this one is the best! it was just like the pictures. the host was very helpful. it was an amazing stay!

If you are looking for a place to host a family or small corporate gathering in peaceful surroundings, this is it: Main (lowest level) floor has smaller kitchen, but 3 bedrooms. Two large dining tables (each seating 10) are on two separate floors. This makes for good meeting space. Two large common/living areas (each with a TV) on the same two floors. Two bedrooms on third floor. Ping-pong table is in large screened-in room attached to the house with a sturdy, wide board walk. Pool table is on second floor near the larger kitchen (3 ovens) We also used supplied kayaks on Lake Norris. Large fire pit in backyard. They provided one package of laundry detergent for our two-night stay with 14 people—you must wash any used towels before you leave, which is fine and expected, we just didn’t bring detergent because usually Air BnB homes supply enough. (Vacasa responds quickly, so had we noticed, they may have supplied more) Grocery and retail 10-15 mins.

The photos and description do not do this property justice! My friends and I were comfortable in this spacious, yet homey home. Kitchen had everything you could need, home was spotless, fire pit and hot tub were great. The owner was very polite and responsive. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a peaceful and relaxing trip

This is our second stay at the lake house and it absolutely exceeded our expectations (again). Last year we had all sunny weather, but this year we had a little rain during the weekend which actually allowed us to take even better advantage of the house. From watching the rain from the peaceful back porch to the many board games inside, we had plenty to do. The location is private (we saw 2 people walk down the road one time) and the access to the lake cannot be beat. Katie is easily the best Airbnb host I’ve had the pleasure to work with - very proactive in communication and responsive to any questions. I could go on and on, but just trust me when I say, this house is an absolute gem.

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The scenery was absolutely beautiful, and the house itself was very nice and clean, making it a great place to relax and unwind. The space was comfortable, and we especially enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. We definitely would stay again!

The home was everything that was advertised. We understood that the lake would be down this time of year so we were not concerned about that. We enjoyed the fire pit out back and everything in the home was clean and working. We really had a great time celebrating Thanksgiving here and will be looking into coming back in the warmer months when we can enjoy the lake!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!! Lots of room to have family time (card games, movies, etc.) Kitchen was stocked with the essential utensils needed. Very clean. Besides the bar top separating the kitchen from the living area, the only dining table was outside (which is great for the warmer months) but with the temps in the teens we brought one from the lower deck inside - which worked just fine. Plus this gave us a table to play card games. We would stay here again!!!

The stay was great and easy access to walking downtown and all the things to do in South Knoxville.

The description and details of this place don't do it justice. It was a wonderfully clean, cozy, and peaceful environment. Timothy was extremely responsive and helpful. I highly recommend it! The price is fantastic for such a lovely spot.

Had a great overnight stay during our road trip. Very comfortable and private, and felt very safe during our stay. Light switches, as well as other amenities, are all labelled, which was extremely accessible and made for an easy stay. Hosts had consistently good communication and helped us with where we needed to go. 100% recommend!

We were looking for a place during a cross-country road trip and this fit the bill perfectly. A couple miles off the highway in a quiet neighborhood. The home I was surprisingly large, clean, good space, fast internet. Shopping and restaurants are about a 5 minute drive away. The only issue I would make folks aware of is that if you are traveling with dogs and go walking around the neighborhood, this being a rural area, there are some folks with free roaming dogs nearby and they’re territorial. And there’s a road a block away with no sidewalk and people flying by at high speeds. The yard is decent size, so use that. Alternately, there is a river trail and dog park in town. Kitchen is well stocked with basics, you’ve covered for coffee and basic cooking spices. So overall a great value.

Great space! So convenient to everything. Quiet stay and easy to get in and settled.

This little place was perfect for our trip. Comfortable and cozy for 3 adults except we didn't have 3 towels and washcloths. It is easily accessible amd close to downtown. The only thing is the Victorian next door is apparently (Sassy Ann's) a private party venue which hosted 2 events while we were there. Friday night was Acid in April, techno music and strange crowds til 2-3am. Saturday night was quieter with a more private party.

Tony and Barb's place was perfect for my overnight stay. I loved sitting outside in the screened in porch while sipping my wine. I would definitely stay there again and since it's a fully furnished 1 bedroom apt, I would book a longer stay as well.

Martin and Nikki were wonderful hosts-- friendly, conciencious and accommodating. The space was comfortable, they were flexible with check-in/out times and they even left us snacks :) We were in town for Big Ears and, while this isn't a particularly walkable distance from the festival, it's only a short drive away. Thanks you guys, maybe we'll see you again next year!

This place was perfect! Walking distance to everywhere we went. Any questions asked Julie answered very quickly. The place was also very nice, and everything we needed.

The place was in the perfect location for our UTK visit. Entire campus was walkable from the apartment and parking was easy in what is a very congested area. It’s not a large space but the owner utilizes it well and it more than met our needs. Really appreciated the water and snacks on arrival that was a great touch! Would stay here again.

Thankful for this dog-friendly rental, and it’s so close to such a nice dog park. As mentioned in the listing, it did get quite loud at night from the downtown nightlife, but earplugs were provided (and used) and nightlife is expected in the area. If that’s something you’re okay with, great stay. Beautiful condo!

Mary’s place was spotless and perfectly located — just a 2-minute walk to great restaurants and food chains. She was incredibly kind and accommodating throughout our stay. Highly recommend for a comfortable Knoxville visit!

Absolutely recommended this perfect place tucked away in downtown Knoxville! Everything was just as described. The hosts were great with communication and made sure that we were taken care of down to every detail. Even though you are close to the highway and railroad tracks, they were not loud enough to ever bother us. Can’t compliment this place enough!

Ashleigh made my stay a breeze. She was informative and thoughtful about providing me with information knowing it was my first time in Knoxville. She was extremely responsive and flexible to accommodate my needs. Her place is conveniently located and in a lovely historic building close to plenty of attractions. I was able to explore the town on foot which I highly recommend. Thanks again Ashleigh for making my experience so memorable.

We felt unsafe outside in the area and did not feel comfortable walking anywhere. The homeless population is extreme. When we walked in the building, we smelled a musty moldy odor and seriously contemplated finding a hotel but could not since so many events were going on and a lot of people were in town. The owner assured me that they had never had a problem, so we stayed. The condo itself is nice and had everything we needed.
