Our newly built, modern cabin offers a secluded and relaxing retreat in Union, Maine. With the high ceilings, open floor plan, and many windows, guests are surrounded by natural light and forest views. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy fireplace, and an outdoor grill and fire pit. Walking trails connect the cabin to our farm next door, where you can visit with our horses, donkeys, goats, chickens, and ducks. We are just 25 minutes from the Midcoast's shops, restaurants, and beaches.

SILVER MOON, a Yurt for All Seasons

Silver Moon at The Appleton Retreat is quite private, check out the Trail Map. This contemporary yurt features a private therapeutic hot tub on the wrap around deck, a fire pit, and fast wifi. Silver Moon is located in a wooded area close to a bog that attracts a variety of wildlife. The Appleton Retreat encompasses 120 acres hosting six unique retreats. To the south is the Pettengill Stream, a resource protected area. To the north is the Nature Conservancy's 1300 acre reserve.

The Barn

I call my place "The Barn" because as I was finishing it it took the shape and feel of a barn. It's not a barn. It's a quiet post and beam open concept building (a Jamaica Cottages kit) set among the fields of Appleton, Maine. You'll sleep in the loft or on a futon on the main floor. The bathroom is huge, 10X10, with a heated floor. It's an open concept kitchen and living space. From Appleton you are 20 miles away from the tourist destinations of Camden, Rockland, and Belfast.

Little Apple Cabin is a private tiny cabin on five wooded acres, created for guests who want quiet, space, and deep rest. Surrounded by trees and farmland, it’s a simple, intentional place to slow down, sleep well, and enjoy Maine without crowds or noise. The cabin features a king bed on the main level, a cozy wood stove, and a wrap-around cedar deck for coffee, reading, and stargazing. Camden and Rockland are about 25 minutes away, and Belfast is about 30 minutes.

This 1830 cape is for rent by the month or weekly or for a two-night minimum stay. It is located at the edge of the historic village of Waldoboro. It offers a convenient base to sightseeing in midcoast Maine. It’s old-fashioned, decorated with plants, antiques and paintings and features a large, fully equipped kitchen, music room with piano, television room with pull-out sofa, full bath with stall shower and outside patio. This home is in a country setting on Hatchet Mountain in Hope near the beautiful Maine coast and about 8 miles from Camden. About a mile from our home, is Hobbs Pond (2 miles long!) with public access for swimming, boating and kayaking. Hiking trails surround us, too! Beaver Lodge, a favorite spot for weddings and other family events, is also nearby. This listing has an exemption for all animals. For safety reasons, it may not be suitable for young children.

Our secluded, very quiet and private two bedroom cabin with loft features a bug-free screened-in porch on its large deck. The cabin overlooks peaceul Sandy Pond, inhabited by bald eagles, loons, and herons. Watch beautiful sunrises and sunsets, fish and kayak from our dock. We're close to coastal Belfast, Unity, MOFGA (annual Common Ground Fair), Waterville, Acadia and Camden. Eat at The Lost Kitchen, visit the Amish, hike the Hills to Sea Trail.

There is 1 ring doorbell for everyone’s security outside the front door of the house.
