Lighthouse holiday rentals in United States

A beautiful location and cozy accommodations! The fireplace was our favorite part of the cottage! It was quiet and peaceful on the lighthouse grounds! Unfortunately I did feel the rug and couch were a little dirty.

We had such a wonderful stay at the Selkirk/Salmon River Lighthouse! We came to celebrate my mother’s 70th birthday and it was even more awesome than we had imagined it’d be. Christian was a great host, super friendly and helpful, communicative and flexible. He was so accommodating with our schedule and did a great job of checking in with us to see if we needed anything throughout our stay. We found the lighthouse clean and cozy and perfect for our needs, and loved the history and essence of the whole place. Christian delighted us with a trip to the birdcage and top of the light which really capped the whole experience. Swimming in Lake Ontario and exploring the beach was a true highlight for us. Kayaking Salmon River was a beautiful and peaceful way to start one of our mornings. (And Annie’s Diner in town serves great biscuits and gravy). Such a bucket list kind of trip, and a real true gem of a place.

This was our third stay at the Desert View Tower. This place is like no other. This time we invited friends to be with us for one night, and had an amazing gathering in the tower, by a cozy fire at the well working fireplace, playing games and sharing stories. The hosts know how to be accommodating and available while respecting our privacy. The kitchen in the little red cabin is very well equipped, more than the listing shows. There is everything, from an espresso machine to a blender, anything you need to make meals. My favorite amenity is the outdoor soaking bathtub, that overlooks a beautiful lush native plant grove. We also enjoyed using the backyard BBQ. I suggest you bring your own string lights and extension cord to light up the backyard eating area, and your own food (there is a regular size fridge and freezer.) It’s much more fun to stay there and cook than to drive pretty far to find meals. All eight dogs on the property are super friendly and adorable.

We really enjoyed the beautiful view out the window and the stunning visuals. It was a cozy cottage in the furniture was very comfortable.

Cindy is the best. Communication was clear, immediate, and super friendly. The lighthouse is beautiful. Super romantic with the jacuzzi in room, had soaps in the bathroom, beautiful view inside and on the porch, and it’s all right on the beach. Overall just super cute and quaint. Would immediately stay again!

Absolutely stunning experience staying in a minor snowstorm that gave way to the most jaw dropping views of park city. Getting in would’ve been hairy without a capable 4WD, but even at night in the snow we were able to find Marty’s towering home. Amenities were excellent and well stocked. Furniture was comfortable and plentiful. Zero complaints.

Barbara was an excellent host. She went out of her way to make me feel comfortable in her home. She is a caring and generous host. The house had everything I needed to cook. The trails behind her house were a plus—great place to walk my dog. I will definitely return if I need a place to stay in Oro Valley again.

This is a great place to unplug. It does have WIFI and we did use it, but the kids enjoyed the outside area. The property is gated. Entrance to the beach is locked which kept the kids from entering the beach without an adult. We talked; played games; hunted for shark teeth and shells; played in the sand; we took our outside games (corn hoe, crocket set, soccer ball and volley balls, wiffle ball; very little Nintendo time). It is different because children are used to big events during vacations. We made the big events time with family. My two children and their children attended a total of 13 of us enjoyed this beautiful keeper's house. We rented both sides. You will not regret it. The seven grandchildren begged to come back next year. I have reserved it again for next year.

Great place to stay at when visiting Los Angeles! It was a very cozy and welcoming stay and Ron communicated well with us while we stayed there!

I had planned this as a surprise trip for my husband and he was delighted to see the fabulous location! We spent precious days at the lighthouse keeper home and cherished every moment of it. Marci keeps the place spic and span and beautiful too!! We loved that our stay also supported the Solomon Island Maritime museum. The free tickets to the museum were so nice! We want to retire as lighthouse keepers here🙂. Till then we surely will be back again and again!! Thank you for a wonderful stay Marci!

The Lighthouse was a quaint place to stay. It was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen supplies were plentiful. It was a great get away spot. The outside amenities looked awesome, unfortunately, we didn't get to enjoy them because of rain.

We stayed Derby weekend and this place is the perfect hidden gem for 4-6 people. It’s far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the weekend, but close enough to attend the derby, restaurants, etc. just across the river. The property is literally right on the Ohio River with very nice views, boasts 3 bedrooms and 2 baths and is roomy with nice outdoor spaces!! The host, Brad, is extremely friendly and responsive and wants to ensure their guests have a great experience end to end. I would totally recommend the property for folks looking for a quick get away or the derby!!!! Excellent value for money!!

On our first day fifty one years ago, my date (now wife) told me she always wanted to live in a lighthouse. 51 years later I was able to make a dream come true...for five days. This Airbnb is beyond perfect. We had a spectacular time. We didn't do a lot of sightseeing because Bobby wanted to be around the lighthouse! Simon and Laura are meticulous in everything. They were there when we checked in doing a little painting of a water spigot, they care about every little detail. My wife Bobby was in seventh heaven the whole weekend. We loved the seating in the little trellis, we loved walking out the second floor master bedroom right onto the deck which had beautiful water views. We took walks on the shoreline, where you could collect an awful lot of sea glass right there. If you know how to fish, you could throw a line right into the water 20 steps from the lighthouse. We've rented in Ireland, England, and different places in the US. This was exceptional, beautifully private!

Was an amazing location, house and host. Let us use all his water sports equipment free of charge. He gave us a house tour of the whole accommodation which was incredible. Lovely guy! Made sure we had the best time as he wasn’t bothered about the noise being made he just wanted us to enjoy ourselves. will definitely be back soon! highly recommend.

I had a wonderful stay at the lighthouse suite. It was private and the view from the private balcony in the loft was amazing. The hottub was clean and at a decent temp. (I hate it when people set it to a low temp like 99 this was at 102-103 perfect for me). Very peaceful surroundings and a wonderful place to relax and unwind. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The host was responsive and you have everything you need as a single traveler in the private room.
