Cottage was actually better than the photos. Was lovely and clean, also very helpful to have Sylvia help out with cleaning etc, she was lovely. Comfortable beds and good linen. Fire not working which was a little disappointing the first night as it was chilly, not needed after that.. hopefully will be available in the future.

This unit is part of a well-established and long-popular resort in a fabulous location within the central Berg. It's an excellent base to explore the many attractions this part of the world has to offer, but the resort also offers several amenities in its own right.

This really is a beautiful spot if you looking for some time out. Unfortunately we were in and out for a school sports tournament with not the greatest weather so would have loved to be able to have had more time to stay. You do have to travel on a portion of untarred road but we all managed to reach our destination in a variety of car types. My favourite feature of that house is the well appointed kitchen - often in staying in self catering houses you are supplied with the bare minimum - which is definitely not the case here. Teas and coffees and basic condiments were such a nice touch - right down to a garlic press and an air fryer. Would definitely recommend!

When spontanously looking for an accomodation in the Drakensberg, we stumbled over Emmas beautiful cottage. The road to this little cottage was a bit adventourous, but totally worth it. On the one hand you can go on the most amazing hikes close by and on the other hand relax at the lovely little cottage. Thanks to Emma we had a fantastic stay and can recommend staying here to a 100%.

Evenings by the fire are a highlight—warm, cozy, and perfect for unwinding under a sky full of stars. The nights are so still you can almost hear the silence, and mornings bring soft light, sunrise, and that endless view of the mountains. The cottage itself is simple, stylish, and thoughtfully put together—everything you need and nothing you don’t. Emma is a warm and welcoming host, and the entire place radiates calm. This is slow, soulful living at its best. We didn’t want to leave—and can’t wait to come back.

Had a wonderfully peaceful stay. Beautiful landscape and loads to do. The cottage has everything that one needs. We will definitely be back for a longer stay.
