Formally a fortified castle “Fort de La Bastide “ was constructed on the site of a Roman military station. The earliest historical mention is 1417 and it's long history includes an invasion in 1584 by Protestants during the period of the Huguenot wars. In a stone house (that of my ancestors), whose foundations are from the 13th century. The rental allows me to finance the rest of my amenities. My property is close to the Ardèche river. You'll love it for the views, the decor, and the pebble alleys. In summer, I prefer one week stays from Saturday to Saturday.
