Family-friendly holiday rentals in Vaca Key

Perfect for our family of 5. Great outdoor area at the house for fishing and relaxing. The layout was great for us because of the separation from the master to the kitchen/living room…our baby could sleep and we didn’t have to worry about making noise and waking up the baby. KCB is in a great central location for exploring the Keys. We were also pleasantly surprised at the quality of restaurant’s nearby. The Cabana Club was crowded and has a small beach. Drinks there were good. I have nothing overly negative to say, other than that I wouldn’t look to stay in KCB or this property if you just want to hang at the pool and beach all day. But it was fine for a few easy afternoons between other activities in the area. We highly recommend and would stay again!

Our stay at this home was absolutely perfect! The location couldn’t have been better—peaceful, relaxing, and right on the water. We spent so much time unwinding on the dock, soaking in the beautiful views and enjoying the gentle ocean breeze. The Marathon area was a fantastic place to explore, offering everything we needed for an unforgettable getaway. We loved being close to state parks for hiking and wildlife spotting, as well as having access to amazing restaurants serving fresh seafood. Bike rentals were nearby, making it easy to explore the area at a leisurely pace. If you’re looking for the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure, this is the place to be!

It was an unforgettable week in Maria and Johnny's house. The house was very clean and beautifully furnished. Each of our three children had their own room in which they felt very comfortable. Our bedroom had a large terrace where my wife could do yoga in the morning sun. The kitchen and living room were really well epuiped and terrace with the hot tub were just right for a relaxing family holiday. Nothing was missing. Communication with Johnny was easy and quick. He gave us great ideas for activities and restaurants in the area. Thank you for that. We can highly recommend Maria and Johnny's accommodation!

Our group of six adults loved our stay at One Particular Harbor! The property was beautiful and spacious! The pictures couldn’t do it justice. Our hosts were very helpful and attentive! We would definitely stay there again.

Place was just as described! Pictures were spot on. We really enjoyed the property and it felt like a resort. Pool was very nice, clean and we enjoyed the little bar and grill for some pina coladas poolside. The unit was very quiet, and had everything we needed. We appreciated they had plenty of towels and linens so that we had an extra set during the stay. Surrounding area was great easy to find anything we needed and lots of great restaurants!!! The pull out coach is a memory foam mattress vs a spring mattress which my kiddos really appreciated making it so much more comfortable! Beds in the rooms were also very comfortable with nice comfy covers! Would highly recommend and would stay again!

Just what we needed for winter break , loved having coffee in the morning on the canal, hammock very relaxing, liked the open living space.

Beautiful place, exactly as pictured, for our family of six. We LOVED the pool and spa! The porch space was well used with lovely furniture overlooking the pool. Great location for restaurants and activities. The landscaping and grounds are beautifully maintained. Very peaceful and private during our stay.

This Islamorada property is accurately represented on Airbnb. It is an old-school beach house with somewhat dated and kitschy decor that looks out on a gorgeous view of the gulf. Unfortunately there was construction on the neighbor’s dock that interfered with our enjoyment of that view early in our trip but we came to an agreement with the property manager that was fair. Potential renters who have mobility issues should be aware that the stairway to the 2nd-story living quarters is quite steep, but that wasn’t a problem for us. Only other possible issue for some: the beds are very, very firm. But wow, that view is spectacular, and we would happily return in the future… after confirming that there’s no additional construction next-door.

This house was a perfect spot for my partner and I and Cooper our pup. swam in the pool, sat in jacuzzi, paddle boarded ,kayaked, road the bikes, ect. we brought our boat down but unfortunately had a few issues with it so wasn't able to go out fishing as much as we'd liked. but there was plenty to do at and around this beautiful place. would definitely come back in the future:))

Highly recommend this location and townhome. Everything was really clean and the kitchen was well stocked. Our children really enjoyed the huge pool and the area attractions. Our favorite spots to send time were Sombrero Beach and Sandspur Beach at Bahia Honda State Park. We rented a boat for a few days and went out to the Sombrero Reef and the sandbar. So much fun! We are definitely coming back to stay at this home again.

The aqualodge was as described. You will be roughing it a bit but if that's what you are looking for this is the spot.

This home was just what my family needed for our vacation! We all loved relaxing in the outdoor living room surrounded by greenery. We also enjoyed swimming in the pool and kayaking through the canals and Boot Key. We made most of our meals due to dietary restrictions, and the kitchen here was adequate. The location in Marathon is excellent! It was just a 5-minute walk to Sombrero Beach, so we never had to worry about parking. We could easily drive to all the activities we wanted to do in the area, too.

Fish Camp was spotless and the owners and property management were very communicative leading up to our trip and once we arrived. No major issues - and if we reached out they responded right away. Beach chairs would have been a great addition for our stay.

This place had everything we needed for a relaxing family vacation prior to the crazy Holiday season. we only had 6 people but it would easily accommodate more. Monica was responsive to any questions or concerns. The location was perfect. Easy access to sombrero Beach and Marathon amenities: bars, restaurants, and activities. we were able to experience a turtle release on Sombrero Beach from The Turtle Hospital. Highly recommend renting from Monica again and on Marathon Beach.

My family and I really enjoyed staying at this location. The description of the house was spot on. The large kitchen and open layout was plenty of space for us. We spent most of the time outdoors on the pool patio. We highly recommend this location.

Location, location, location! Great views, nice pool area, dock space if needed. Walkable to several resorts and turtle sanctuary.

Beautiful home that comfortably held our 6 person family of adults. Absolutely loved the pool, spa, and outdoor seating. Really nice kitchen and bathrooms. We used Marathon as home base and drove to Key Largo, Key West, etc. Always nice to return to the house and pool to relax!

Susan and Dale were on-site, extremely responsive and helpful. We had a great sunset boat ride, great conversation, the pool was clean and warm and lots of sand toys everything we needed and more. We would absolutely stay again.

Great house for a family vacation. Lots of room and great indoor and outdoor kitchens for preparing large meals. Off street parking was adequate for 4 large vehicles. The pool was very relaxing and there were nets and games for the kids too. Amazing hosts!

This place was what we hoped it would be. It was peaceful, beautiful surroundings, and comfortable. It was exceptionally clean and the outdoor atmosphere was our favorite!! Nice tiki eating area, nice outdoor seating and so peaceful. Will definitely be back next year. Thank you Mark!!

We had a great stay at Anglers Dream! The house was clean, spacious and has lots of storage. We were given a starter pack (toilet paper, paper towel, laundry pods and dryer sheets, dish soap and pods) and bath shampoo/soap etc which was nice! Also a few welcome gifts. The beds were much more firm than we like but they are in good shape. I went for walks to Sombrero beach (15-20 min) almost every evening by myself (female) and felt very safe. Quiet neighborhood and everyone we met was super friendly. Publix is a mile away which is another plus. Pool was in good condition and there was plenty of chairs, umbrellas and lounge furniture to be had by the pool. The balcony had 3 double settees and a coffee table which was wonderful for coffee in the morning. Great house in a great location!
