Heidi's Home in the Dolomites

Flat on the second floor of a villa at an altitude of 1,500 metres, with a stunning view of the Dolomites, which have been declared a World Heritage Site. Suitable for couples with children or for groups of up to 4 people. I offer a room, kitchen, bathroom and living room. The house is located on the road leading to the Venezia mountain hut, which provides access to the summit of Mount Pelmo at 3,168 metres, from where, on clear days, you can see the Venice Lagoon. For those who cannot climb, there is a path that goes around the mountain.

It is one of the oldest buildings of a cosy little village in the Valle d’Isarco in Northern Italy. Close to the dolomites mountains but not far away from the popular towns of Bolzano and Bressanone it is an ideal starting point to explore the region.

The house is in a very quiet dream location in the orchards of the Adige Valley. The apartment is on the 1st floor, is 120 square meters and can accommodate up to 6 guests. Bolzano is 10 minutes away, Merano 20 minutes and the ski or hiking areas of the Dolomites 40 minutes away. There are bike paths around the corner and hiking in front of the house. Staying here means living in history. This apartment is over 300 years old. My grandmother Maria lived there. Living in the mountains is not easy. The spaces are different from those we are used to, the ceilings are low, the stairs are narrow and steep. The rooms are struggling to warm up. But the charm is unique. WARNING: From September to June it may be necessary to turn on the stove. Pellet bags are available to be loaded into the stove.
