This snug, grass-roofed eco-cabin offers panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy a warm Irish welcome, mountain walks on the Beara Way or snorkelling through nearby reefs. Sample local cheeses, lamb, fish and seafood or stoke up the wood-burning stove, have a glass of wine and and savour the peace and tranquillity! Word of warning: we are VERY remote, (1km off the road down a rough track). With almost no public transport, own transport (eg car) is highly recommended - see Getting Around!

Boss's Farmhouse on the Skellig's Ring

The house is a traditional farmhouse with a large garden and located in the middle of the small island on a quiet road. A road leads to the shore on Valentia Island (1km) and the breathtaking cliff area on the north-facing side is about 2km away - a paradise for walkers! The small fishing village of Portmagee on the mainland and Valentia's main village Knights Town are about 4 minutes by car. This memorable place is anything but ordinary. Set cozily into the mountain on a working sheep farm. Panoramic views of Cahersiveen town and taking in Ballycarberry castle, Caherghall Fort and Valentia island and the vast Atlantic Ocean from the comfort of the sofa or outdoor seating area.
