It's also close to Cedar Hill and Waxahachie, perfect for exploring the DFW area!

Casstevens Homestead Farm House (Entire House)

Casstevens Homestead House located on 145 acres near Mansfield. great for long walks in the country, or a place to get away. This is a working farm with livestock. House is approximately 150 years old, dating back 5 generations. There are large back pastures for walking out in the country. Pets are welcome, but we do have Great Pyrenees on the farm to protect our chickens. They are very friendly but the will probably greet you at the door. We can stable your horses for riding on request.

The Shack

The SHACK is an eclectic space that evolved from our love of building with repurposed materials. Includes old cedar fence pickets, floor tile is made from an old tree. As The SHACK took shape we decided that the theme is sort of anything redneck construction including duck tape, even has a chain link clothes line. With all the amenities of course!! We hand built the custom waterfall sink faucet. Bed is held up w/log chains, tile shower that resembles a quilt w/ exposed copper plumbing.

Tiny House on 11 acres with 6-acre view towards the pond! Nice escape from city life and away from noise! It's private on your side of the yard with a parking spot. We are 70' away as guests on the property! It has one bedroom with queen bed, living area with sofa bed and two individual loft with sofa bed in front and twin bed in the back. Fully functional kitchen and bathroom. The property is open to roam at your own risk. You can see the sheep and chickens, 3 farm dogs and a farm smell! =)

1890's Bunkhouse Getaway

Make some memories at this family-friendly place. Built in the late 1890's, this bunkhouse was a place to rest for working cowboys. Today, you can enjoy the updated home by watching horses peacefully graze, enjoy a cookout, play a board game, or read. Located two miles from downtown Alvarado and has two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a study space, and internet connection. There is a fenced area of the backyard for dogs to run around. Riding lessons are available dependent on schedule.
