Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Vila Nova de Gaia

A very well-equipped house in a lovely seaside village, larger than the photos make it seem. Antonio greeted us like we were old friends and was really helpful with a couple of logistical issues caused by our late arrival. Miramar is a smashing little spot with a couple of nice eateries. 20 minutes on the train from central Porto and half an hour walk down the beach to the more bustling village of Aguda.

Very cozy apartment in an old building with a good outdoor space. Rui was an excellent host and very responsive to any request, including getting us a new kettle! He was friendly and offered us lots of information about the city and neighbourhood. Pet-friendly was a huge bonus. The house is smaller than it seems in the photos but it is liveable and comfortable. There is a small gas heater for those chilly or damp nights. The two bedrooms was a huge plus. Kitchen had everything we needed as did the bathroom. The back garden was a nice place to relax on a sunny day. The neighbourhood is very walkable and close to all sorts of things like the metro, buses, cafes, supermarkets, parks, and restaurants. It doesn't take long to walk anywhere, or to take a bus into centro. The street is small and a very large car may have a problem parking there, but we didn't. We liked that the neighbourhood isn't too busy and is mostly residential. We would definitely choose this place again.

The accommodation is ideal for families or large groups, the house is located in a pleasant environment with easy parking 15 min drive from Porto. I would highlight the kitchen that was very spacious and we had a fantastic time in the Office with its large table and large windows in the forest. The sofa area in the living room was more austere and we didn't change all of us. The only thing to take into account in the kitchen is that there is no dishwasher or washing machine. The bathrooms are all very well, one on the ground floor and 2 on the first floor, one of them en-suite, so the only one left is that there is only 1 bathroom left for the rest of the 3 bedrooms + those that are in the attic since they have no bathroom, although it has a small wash and a vanity. The best room is the one in the en-suite bathroom, the rest have bad mattresses, especially the 2 90cm mattresses. Finally, highlighting Mr. Arthur's very kind treatment, he was an excellent host, always very willing to help make our stay perfect.

We are absolutely impressed with the warmth and hospitality of Jorge and Susana! We stayed for 2 weeks and felt completely comfortable! It was spotlessly clean and cozy furnished and lovingly decorated. The bed was so comfy! Jorge and Susana were always available and even left us a few treats on arrival and during the stay. It was also great that we had a separate in the courtyard completely to ourselves. For our two dogs totally great, as they could lie in the sun all day when we were working without having to be afraid that they could run away. In 5 minutes you can walk directly to the huge sandy beach. It was fantastic and we also quickly took the neighbors to heart. Sincere thanks for the great time! We will be back!

100%recommended, when I return to Porto, I will definitely return. A magnificent house and a quiet neighborhood where you can rest after seeing the city. Very clean and tidy everything, as well as superb equipment of the house.

This is a beautiful apartment. Each bedroom was of a good size, and the place was lovely and clean when we arrived. There is a wonderful garden area to relax in, which was a real bonus. It is just over 10 minutes walk to the nearest metro station, so easy to get into town, and a supermarket nearby meant it was easy to get all the food/drink you needed for the stay. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Antonio's space is very cute, super functional and accessible. We found it impeccable, Antonio and Eva's attention was unparalleled. We really feel welcome and supported by both at all times. Great hosts!

I had a great stay at Daniel’s home. The sun was hitting beautifully and the space was perfect for my one night stay. It was also very close to the airport, which I needed to be at by 430 a.m. would definitely stay again for longer!

This was a lovely Airbnb for us with 5 adults and a baby. Nick was so friendly and gave great local recommendations. The neighbourhood is a short metro into the city centre, but had nice local cafes and restaurants and was very close to groceries.

Very good stay, the apartment is as described, located right next to the beach and shops, and Dionisia is very responsive and pleasant

The Villa was clean, super spacious and equipped with everything you might need. Just a 2 min walk from the beach, with a bakery and some restaurants also close by. Everything worked out just perfect and we had no complaints and Clara responded to messages relatively quickly. We really enjoyed the Villa and our stay. The only issue was communicating with the person who we had to contact when we needed something once we stayed at the Villa, response to our questions was usually late.

Our stay was excellent! Elsa was over the top in every way! We had a gift of wine and custard tarts when we got there, Elsa arranged a reservation at an amazing restaurant and she responded quickly to any inquiry. Would definitely come back to this beautiful sanctuary.

Fantastic stay. Nuno went out of his way to make us feel welcome and make sure we had a great time in Porto. The houses and garden are beautiful. We loved chilling round the lovely pool. Bolt taxis were really cheap to get around in Porto and Nuno gave us some great recommendations.

House compliant in all respects with the listing. Very welcoming, helpful, attentive and responsive host (broken dishwasher that was replaced new during the day). Very flexible for Check-in and Check-out. We had a pleasant stay . Thank you Manuel!

There are so many positive things about this house. Very close to the train, shops, grocery, the beach, and the town has everything you'd need. The yard is very well fenced for dogs. The location is quiet while being very central. Got the best sleep with the black out shutters, beds and linens were comfy. Luis was a great host, very responsive and we had everything we needed. Highly recommend this place.

We had a lovely stay in Porto up the apartment. It was a perfect fit for us and it was so lovely with the private terrace. The apartment is super nice and clean and tidy. It's in a quiet area but within walking distance to both sights and the subway. We will very much come back another time :)

Had a fantastic time at this apartment. It was spacious for two people with a lovely balcony and a big stretch of garden. Beautifully decorated too and a really great location. The only downside was having to pay a ‘late check-in’ fee of €10 for arriving just past 9pm because our flight was delayed. Although this was outlined on the booking, we still felt that this was really unnecessary. Nobody wants a delayed flight and this cannot be helped. We presume this was because of inconvenience to the host who met us upon arrival, perhaps to get passport information, however this could have been arranged the next day. It is a small apartment and things were easily located and accessed without being shown around. The host also seemed to be in a rush to leave. There is a key safe which is used for checkout, therefore the key could have been left there for check-in. This isn’t a complaint but just some advice on how things could be improved! Thank you.

The apartment is outside the hustle and bustle of downtown and was nicely quiet. In the morning there is coffee and croissants downstairs in the cafeteria and a supermarket is also downstairs in the house. The hosts were very nice and helpful. I liked the view from the conservatory and balcony. Everything was fine.

Impeccable heat insulation, you will appreciate it on cold windy days. It is a renovated building just a few minutes walk from the Metro, a couple of streets away from the busy Rua de Santa Catarina, thus convenient stores, restaurants and historical sights are near by. The flat has everything you might need to stay with a family of four. Very recommended.

Great location to move around the city!

Beautiful functional apartment, well decorated and close to amenities (bolheo market, shopping street, historic center). We had a great time in Porto, we will come back without hesitation!

Our stay in Porto was nothing short of magical, and this home was a huge part of that experience. From the moment we walked in, we were blown away—floor-to-ceiling windows open onto a balcony with breathtaking views of the river, and the rooftop offers an unforgettable panoramic view of the city and ocean, especially at sunset. It felt like a dream, one we didn’t want to wake up from. I could live here in a heartbeat! The home was perfectly appointed with thoughtful touches that made our stay so comfortable—plenty of coffee and water, and even individual keys for all four of us in the family, which was such a convenient and appreciated detail. Yulan was the most amazing host, full of incredible local tips and recommendations for the best restaurants and experiences. Truly, I can’t say enough good things about this place. We’re already dreaming about our next visit!

The house is located by the sea (the beach is less than a 5-minute walk away) and overlooks a garden. We had a lovely stay there and were able to easily visit the surroundings (Gaia, Aveiro, Porto). Special mention for Hugo who is very available and provides good advice.
