Bull Creek is an absolutely lovely spot. Quiet and remote with lovely bush and beach walks. The neighbours were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Walking in the nearby bush being deafened by the bellbirds a definite highlight. Views from the house of the sea was spectacular and the coastal walks and seeing the seals and lots of birds was another highlight. All of us agreed that we would love to stay again.

Well who knew that the Otago coast was so beautiful?- I didn’t! Reminiscent of beaches in the east coast of the North Island but without the people! We had a fabulous stay at Taieri Beach, even though the weather wasn’t tropical it didn’t stop us exploring the beach and the braver of the children getting in the water! Pete’s Place was a great place to stay. Super comfy beds, nice and clean and a huge TV for the boys to watch the cricket. We will be back! Highly recommend!

I really appreciated the host putting so much love and attention into the house. It really was perfect! After traveling the whole world, this is by far one the most beautiful beaches I have seen. You can see the sea lions from the bedroom window and on a short walk I saw a penguin. While there are little houses next to the property, the neighbors are seldom there. I stayed for a month and saw people maybe two or three times. The rest of the time it felt extremely private. The house is about 25min drive on an unpaved road from Milton. A super tiny town. So if you want to get away, this is the place. What a hidden gem! Super recommended.

The hosts are most welcoming, the lodging impeccable and we enjoyed watching the sheep on one side and the hares on the other :)) Close enough for day trips to Dunedin and the Catlins. Gilles and Bibiane, Canada
