When you're all done for the day, cozy up by the wood-burning fire place in the winter, or open the back slider in the summer and watch the golfers and wildlife.

A perfect getaway for couples looking to spend a romantic weekend in the woods or a home-base for those who are here to enjoy everything Mt. Hood has to offer. The Alpine Den Is perfect for all occasions, from a romantic getaway to a family retreat. Located in an old growth forest near the Salmon River, nestled under a canopy of Firs and Cedars. The cabin sits on a picturesque half acre lot, minutes away from great restaurants, markets, golf course, biking and amazing hiking trails. Less than an hour from Portland, this quiet cabin in the woods is the perfect place to come home to after a day of skiing, hiking, golfing or whatever fun activity you found on Mt. Hood! It sits on 1.5 acres that backs up to the forest. There are lots of indoor and outdoor games to keep you occupied while at the cabin as well. The fire pit is great for roasting marshmallows and the hot tub provides relaxation after a fun day on the mountain.

Niksen House: Scandanvian style Cabin at Mt. Hood

*water pressure issue has been fixed! Niksen House is located just outside of Mt. Hood National Forest, 20 minutes from ski areas and an hour from Portland. The cabin is in a rural residential community and sits next to a 1/2 acre lot giving it an off-the-grid feel with all of the on-the-grid amenities. Small & cozy cabin in the woods. Short walk to Zig Zag river. Well equipped to make you feel comfortable & a little spoiled. Amazing back covered porch makes enjoying the outdoor possible any time of year! Sleeping 6 will be VERY cozy, limited private sleeping areas. Queen bed in upstairs bedroom, Q bed downstairs in open bed cubby, and Q sleeper sofa.
