Our 150-year-old country house is located on the banks of the Saale surrounded by the beautiful mountains of the Schiefergebirge. The apartment is completely renovated and offers space for a relaxing break at any time of the year. In the immediate vicinity there are numerous opportunities for hiking or cycling and in summer the Hohenwarte reservoir invites you to swim. Various shopping facilities are in the village – including Supermarket, bakery and pharmacy. The train station is 1.5 km from the house.

Relax in the stylish and quiet house on the edge of the forest in the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, not far from the Rennsteig (2 km away). House is modern and fully furnished with living room including fireplace, sofa, table, TV. The kitchen-living room with induction stove, dishwasher and washing machine is located on the first floor. It is also worth having breakfast/grilling on the terrace with magnificent views in good weather. Bedroom (1.60 m bed), sofa as well as workstation (fast Wi-Fi) and view.

"Benno the Wagon" - a tiny house on the edge of the forest

"Benno the Car" was originally an old shooting stand, which we converted into a tiny house with a lot of passion and love for detail. In it you can now stay in the middle of nature and still feel at home. On about 16 square meters you have everything you really need to live. Benno stands near a detached cottage outside Kleintettau in the Franconian Forest. On a meadow on the edge of the forest, he says good night to the fox and rabbit and is happy about company!

When master baker Hans Lange settled here in Saalfed in 1546 with the secret Nuremberg gingerbread recipe, no one could have guessed that his business would continue for 19 generations. We, as the 20th generation, cannot bake as well as our ancestors, but we would like to welcome you instead to our former bakery shop and thus continue the family tradition in a slightly different form. With this unique home, all the important points of contact are close by. This makes planning your stay very straightforward. The flat is centrally located in the Dichterviertel, surrounded by beautiful parks, the Flutgraben, many bridges and close to the beautiful Steigerwald. If you want to explore the Old Town, with its many sights, it's only about a 10-minute walk. But you can also take the tram. The stop is practically on the doorstep.

2 room fully equipped apartment in the center

I offer a vacation rental in the center of Saalfeld. The apartment is equipped with everything (except salt, pepper and oil) and has a separate entrance. Everything worth seeing in Saalfeld can be reached on foot and there is free parking behind the house. Opposite is another (1 room) apartment that I also rent via Airbnb. When booking the property for tourist activities, a tourist tax is due. The parking is monitored by cameras.

The apartment is located on the first floor in an old storage building of the former horticultural company Benary. The vaulted cellar as the foundation of the house was built at the end of the 16th century. The half-timbered house above it was rebuilt around 1850 and completely renovated in recent years. All interior walls of the outer shell of the house are worked with clay plaster and thus ensure a pleasant indoor climate.
