Nestled in 8 acres of forest and rolling gardens, Hearthwood is a small, private bed & breakfast that combines chic modern furnishings and rustic decor to provide the classic Vermont experience. Located only 8 miles from Burlington, 30-60 minutes from many top ski resorts, and a 10-minute drive to beaches and sunsets on Lake Champlain, Hearthwood offers convenient access to main attractions while being a stone's throw from historical Shelburne Village with its artisanal restaurants, quaint shops, charming vineyards, craft breweries and museums. Situated on a tranquil road only 15 minutes from downtown Burlington and nestled in 8 acres of serene forest, our elegant farmhouse, Hearthwood, is designed to be like a charming boutique-style B&B. The house is split up with a completely private guesthouse on one side and our family living separately on the other. The Lakeview Suite is one of our six large, elegant and fully private suites (each with its own private bathroom) available for guests to come to relax and rejuvenate. In addition to the suites, there is also a large fully-appointed gourmet guest kitchen stocked with a wide variety of breakfast fixings, a laundry room, and a living room for relaxing. We also offer a large selection of indoor and outdoor games and yoga mats upon request for guests to use while visiting. Guests also have access to our private forest and expansive lawns with Adirondack chairs and a picnic table for enjoying your morning coffee or afternoon glass of wine. Our spacious suites are each newly renovated with high ceilings and serene forested views. Uniquely decorated with a blend of modern and antique furniture, they are designed to provide the experience of beauty, comfort and ease. Each has a deluxe pillow-top queen-sized bed, hand-scraped maple floors, comfortable arm chairs with throw blankets for journaling or curling up by the enormous picture windows, large closets, and tables for working or eating meals privately. They are furnished almost entirely with natural materials including soft cotton duvets, woven wool carpets, linen drapes and wooden hangers. They are also appointed with DirectTV, wireless internet (although not fast enough to stream movies), all linens, and towels. The Lakeview Suite is decorated in creams and blues. It has a private ensuite bath, large, beautiful windows overlooking the backyard which offers a distant but lovely view of the lake and a crystal chandelier to give it an extra touch of elegance. Or you may prefer one of our other suites.... The Rustic Suite: Decorated in the Italian colors of deep red, gold and blue. This south facing room has a large en suite bathroom, is the brightest of our three suites and gets wonderful afternoon sun that will make you want to curl up in front of the window and soak it all in. The Forest Suite: Decorated in creamy whites with accents of blue and green. It offers plenty of space for yoga, and has a full wall of windows for a truly serene forest view. You might even start “ommm-ing.” :) Since each suite is private, it's completely your choice whether to spend time on your own or hangout in the common areas and meet other guests. Either way, we invite you to come and enjoy your time in Vermont with us here at Hearthwood for a truly relaxing and rejuvenating getaway. Guests have access to their private suite and bathroom as well as all common areas of the guesthouse including the full guest kitchen, dining area, laundry facilities, and living room. They also have use of the expansive lawns and are free to wander the paths in our 8 acres of forest. A set of keys for both the guesthouse main door and private suite allows guests to enter on their own schedule. (Please note: Quiet hours are from 10pm-9am.) We live on the premises in a completely separate part of the house and are available from 9am to 8pm for any questions, concerns or just to say hello. Occasionally, guests may see us around the property outdoors or in the guesthouse as we garden, tidy up or prepare rooms for incoming guests. Otherwise, we simply give them space to relax and enjoy. (After hours, we're available via phone or text message for emergencies or urgent issues. Each guest is given our cell phone number for this reason.) This little corner of rural Vermont is only 2 miles from restaurants and shops, and minutes from beaches and sunsets on Lake Champlain. Sample local delights at vineyards and breweries a stone's throw away, and browse nearby museums and galleries. A car is definitely your best option for visiting us. However, Burlington has excellent public bus transportation, which extends out into the surrounding communities, and Hearthwood is only 2 miles from a public bus stop in Shelburne that provides transportation into Burlington. There is also an extensive network of bike lanes for those who prefer their transportation on two wheels. And as a last resort, there are also taxis available. Nestled on the border between the picturesque towns of Charlotte and Shelburne, Hearthwood is minutes away from almost anything you'll need. Visit the majestic Vanderbilt estate (Shelburne Farms), window shop in Shelburne Village, take a short hike up Mt. Philo with a picnic lunch and enjoy the panoramic views at the top, visit the breathtaking Charlotte Beach, find covered bridges, explore architecture and folk art at Shelburne Museum, or simply relax in our gardens. Your choices are limitless.

13 Hills - A Unique Earth-Sheltered Destination

Welcome to 13 Hills! Set in the picturesque Monadnock region, our earth-sheltered, open concept home offers magnificent views, serenity, and comfort. With an 1100 square foot terrace with firepit and year-round hot tub, and pool room with darts, this is not your usual B&B. Your room has a king-size memory foam bed, bureau, 42 inch TV, DVD & internet services, a full bath with tiled shower, a fridge with freezer, microwave and panoramic vistas. Full breakfasts of your choosing are our specialty!

Spooner House - Atwater Room with Clawfoot Tub

The Spooner House – your retreat in the Upper Valley. This spacious suite features a cozy fireplace, mountain views, and a private bathroom with a clawfoot tub and shower. Enjoy the luxurious king-sized bed and serene ambiance. Located just 15 minutes from Quechee, Norwich, Hanover, and Lebanon, and close to Woodstock (25 min) and Killington (39 min). Your stay includes a self-serve breakfast with granola, yogurt, fruit, espresso drinks, and tea. You'll also have access to the guest kitchen.

Our family friendly home is located in a desirable location, situated on a private road and beautiful setting. Peru, VT is minutes to Manchester, Bromley, Stratton, Okemo, and Magic Mnts. Renovated in 2016, our home has a gourmet kitchen, new bathrooms, washer/dryer, double sided fireplace, woodburning stove, wireless, and great room with HDTV dish network. All beds are new, and/or protected with "sleep tite" pillow & mattress protectors. Pillows are comfortable, blankets are soft and new.

Private upstairs suite that sleeps up to 6 people. 1 bedroom with a queen sized bed & a bedroom suite with 4 single beds. Sitting area with tables allow for relaxing or group meals. Private bath serves the suite. Mini frig, microwave & coffee maker with grill outside. Private entrance & patio. Perfect for local horse events. No smokers. Not suitable for young children under 10. Check in is 4PM but can be adjusted if needed. Check out is 10AM. Additional guests $35/night

Middlebury Private Suite, walk to campus.

A pleasant walk to Middlebury town and college from this handsome 1827 Federal home which is licensed with the state. The suite has two bedrooms with one private bathroom and it’s own entrance. Each room has a queen bed with a comfortable mattress fitted with sun dried cotton sheets. The suite has a small refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle and French press. If the reservation is for 2 persons but both bedrooms are required, there is an additional $80 per night charge.
