In the Japanese-style room, we use grass from Yatsushiro, Kumamoto Prefecture, and have a sunken brazier installed. The Western-style room has 2 single beds and flooring made of Aso thinned wood. The kitchen is also spacious and can be used by several people to cook. There are also cooking utensils, so you can cook just by bringing the ingredients. You can drive up to the middle of the outer rim of the mountain, and since it is surrounded by forests, it feels good to take a deep breath while bathing in the morning sun. The room is a place where you can enjoy the changing scenery depending on the season. You can enjoy a BBQ in the yard. We also rent BBQ sets (for a fee). We renovated a 160-year-old traditional house in 2023. The total site is 700 tsubo (2300 m ²), and the building is 170 m ², making it very spacious. While it is an 8-minute drive to Kumamoto Castle, it is a cottage where you can relax and unwind away from the hustle and bustle. The garden is full of trees and flowers, including a large camphor tree that has been there for over 160 years, black pines, Japanese maples, and bamboo forests, so you can enjoy the trees and flowers in all seasons. The host lives in the adjacent building, so you can feel at home. Main bedroom has 2 beds, a big closet, working space and another Japanese style room has two futons. The kitchen is fully equipped so that you can use it for a long stay without any inconvenience. There is a wood stove in the living room which is available in winter after receiving instructions from the host. The host lives next house, but of course will not disturb you unless guest's requests. Our 花hana is located at the foot of Mt. Aso, so we coexist with the wild animals and rich nature.
